Chapter 22: Unwanted Guest (2)

"Little Star, look at this! Isn't this the same car Uncle Yunan drives?" Xiao Bao asked his sister. His eyes focused on the remote-controlled toy car on the rack.

His silky black hair, pristine smooth skin, and rosy cheeks were enough to make housewives and women swoon over his cuteness. He had a deep set of eyes with a glint of mischief in it and with Tang Feiyu acting a little gentleman, possessing a face with intelligence and maturity, Feng Tianyi couldn't deny that this boy would grow up as a heartthrob.

"But isn't it too expensive?" The little girl was using both her hands to count. "If we want to buy two, our daily allowance wouldn't be enough to pay for them." A deep frown etched on her cute face.

They were planning to have a race, but the money they had right now wasn't enough to buy two, and they always buy things in pairs. There was no way they would settle with buying one.

They sighed in distress, their shoulders drooped down, the little buns had no other choice but to accept they couldn't have it. Although there's a possibility of asking their Mommy to buy them one, the twins also knew that she didn't encourage unnecessary spendings.

Feng Tianyi looked at them and chuckled. They were both so young but they already looked like they were just defeated by the harshness of life.

"What are you looking at?" He appeared behind them and asked curiously.

The two little buns faced him at the same time, both blushing red. Little Star was about to point her finger to the toy race car she and her brother wanted to buy but stopped midway.

"Nothing, Uncle Ji. We're just looking around," she reasoned out.

She lowered her head and fidgetted, but Feng Tianyi already saw what they wanted.

"Is that so? I was thinking of buying those race cars so I can play with you." Feng Tianyi pointed at the rack where the toys were situated. "I was hoping to give it to you for taking care of me today."

The two little buns' faces lit up. Little Star held Feng Tianyi's arm and smiled.

"Uncle, we don't want gifts for taking care of you, but are you sure you want to play with us?" She asked.

"Of course, I do. I will be busy for the next few days and I'm quite sure I wouldn't be able to see the two of you."

Feng Tianyi was certain that Tang Moyu wouldn't allow her children to spend another night with him and he also knew that it wasn't a good idea to be acquainted with the woman who caused his failure before.

Though he would be sad to see these little buns leave with their mother, he understood that it was just a coincidence that he and Tang Moyu had met under such circumstances. If it wasn't for her children, Tang Moyu wouldn't bother to see him in person.

Once they all came back to his apartment, Feng Tianyi spent the whole afternoon playing with the twins in his spacious living area. They had set up several obstacles and a makeshift track on the floor and the three busied themselves challenging each other.

Hours later, the two little buns fell asleep on the couch for their afternoon nap, while Feng Tianyi and Auntie Lu cleaned the mess they left in the living area. The door rang loudly and Feng Tianyu groaned and went to the front door, already knowing who it would be.

"Your old laptop won't power up. How the hell did you manage to ruin it?" A man stepped inside his apartment and brought with him a brand new and sealed laptop for Feng Tianyi.

His cousin, Song Fengyan strode past him and went straight to the living area, blabbering nonsense until he stopped, frozen, when his eyes caught a glimpse of the two most beautiful children he'd seen in his life.

His jaws dropped, his hand raised to point at the sleeping twins. Song Fengyan looked at Feng Tianyi with shock. Was he seeing things or did his notorious cousin just kidnap two cute little buns?

"Tianyi, I know you always try to get what you want but really? Where the heck did you get these lovable buns?!" He exclaimed.

How was he supposed to explain this to his aunt if the parents of these buns sued Feng Tianyi for kidnapping?! There was no way in hell that these two willingly came with his cousin!

The boy was exceedingly cute while the little girl was like a cute doll with her wavy hair and soft pale skin. Song Fengyan couldn't blame his cousin if he kidnapped them. He didn't think anyone would be able to resist pinching those rosy chubby cheeks.

But still, kidnapping children, whether they were cute or not was still illegal. The parents of these two must be worried sick of their whereabouts.

Feng Tianyu glowered to his cousin. If he wasn't crippled right now, he would have given Song Fengyan a good beating for saying such nonsense.

"What the hell are you talking about? I didn't kidnap them."

What the hell got into Song Fengyan's brain to think he would kidnap some random children?

"You didn't? Then why are they here?" Song Fengyan cupped his chin and gave his cousin a good look.

Before his accident, Feng Tianyi was popular among the opposite sex. However, because of his rude and cruel behavior, many people refused to be acquainted with him. Although he was popular with women, he never had a long term relationship with the women he'd been with.

Song Fengyan then shifted his gaze back to the sleeping children. His eyes fixated on Xiao Bao's face for a few moments before the color in his face drained.

This… how could he not notice it earlier? Xiao Bao's cute face looked almost identical to Feng Tianyi's face when they were younger.

"Tianyi, tell me the truth! After you came back, did any of your ex-girlfriends come and left your love child here?!"

Chapter 23: Your Uncle Yan Is a Conman (1)

Feng Tianyi looked at his cousin as if he'd grown another head over his shoulder. What nonsense was Song Fengyan talking about? He knew his cousin tends to be stupid at times, but for him to assume for him to father children out of wedlock? Song Fengyan must have hit his head on his way here.

Instead, he glared at his cousin menacingly. He shouldn't spout such nonsense, especially in front of these children who were fatherless. Not only would it cause awkwardness to the situation, given the fact that the little buns were Tang Moyu's children, but he also wasn't willing to reveal his identity to the aloof empress.

"Shut it, Fengyan. They aren't mine. Their mother just asked me a favor to look after them today." He looked away, somewhat annoyed, but didn't know why he was in the first place.

Was it because of the reality that he would be forever alone? That he would never have a family he could call his own? It was stupid for him to think of even a slight possibility. Besides his mother and these little buns, who would accept someone like him?

Song Fengyan tapped his chin and looked at his cousin who suddenly became grumpy, which honestly wasn't surprising at all. In fact, seeing these children with Feng Tianyi made him wonder if he entered the wrong place.

His eyes went back to the sleeping little boy and couldn't help but notice the similarities between him and his cousin. He and Feng Tianyi had known each other since childhood. And while he was a chubby boy back then, Tianyi was a popular boy because of his adorable appearance.

Who would have thought that the adorable kid, who grew up to be a devil, would end up like this? Song Fengyan had never imagined that a man like Feng Tianyi would be reduced to the crippled, lonely man he was today.

His thoughts were forced to halt when the little girl sat up and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand. She looked around and saw their Uncle Ji looking after her and her twin brother and another unknown person was there with them.

Song Fengyan's eyes twinkled as he greeted the little girl.

"Hello! Little Miss, what's your name?" He asked Little Star.

Little Star wasn't comfortable with how this unknown man talked to her. She crawled down from the couch and ran towards her Uncle Ji who'd then taken her to settle on his lap.

"Uncle Ji, who is he?" Little Star clenched her small hand on Feng Tianyi's shirt as she curled away from Song Fengyan's face.

Song Fengyan blinked twice as to how the little girl called his cousin. What? Uncle Ji? Oh now, Feng Tianyi didn't even bother to tell these children his name? He wondered how his grumpy cousin met these cute buns anyway.

Usually, children tend to cry and run back to their mothers whenever they see Feng Tianyi's face, out of fear, so what changed this time?

"Ah, he's the cousin I was talking about earlier. He helps me once in a while," Feng Tianyi nonchalantly said.

Song Fengyan's vein began to throb on his head. He wanted to correct his cousin and say that he was the one who keeps running the errands and cleaning the mess he always left in his wake, but with a little girl trembling in the arms of this tyrant, how the hell would he dare to antagonize the devil?

Little Star relaxed in Feng Tianyi's arms and then regarded the man with her wide round eyes. The way she pressed her forefinger on her lips was a mannerism she got from her mother whenever she was curious about something.

"You are my Uncle Ji's cousin?" She asked Song Fengyan curiously.

"En! Nice to meet you, Little Miss. I'm Song Fengyan, this tyrant man's cousin. You can call me Uncle Yan." He flashed the most alluring smile he used to give to women, hoping he could charm Little Star, but failed.

Feng Tianyi smacked Song Fengyan's right leg with his cane after hearing his introduction. Did this idiot cousin of his dare to ruin his reputation in front of Little Star?

"Oww!" Song Fengyan lifted his right leg and hopped on his other leg in pain. 'What the hell was that for?!" He exclaimed, but Feng Tianyi ignored him.

Instead, the devil patted Little Star's head and called her attention back on him.

"Little Star, listen to Uncle Ji, okay? No matter what this man tells you to do, don't agree easily," he told her.

"But why? Isn't he, your cousin, Uncle Ji?" Little Star was confused. She couldn't understand why her Uncle Ji was telling her this.

"Because he's a pervert." Feng Tianyi said nonchalantly.

Song Fengyan felt like he'd been stabbed in the chest by this devil's betrayal. How could he say such a horrendous lie to this cute doll with that impassive cold face of his?

Gah! Had he known Feng Tianyi would betray him like this, he wouldn't have felt any sympathy for Feng Tianyi's situation.

'I take it back! He really is a tyrant devil!' Song Fengyan screamed inwardly.

"Uncle Ji, what's a pervert?" The little girl asked, her forefinger still pressed against her lower lip.

Feng Tianyi stilled and looked down at the confused child on his lap. He realized then what he said wasn't right for a kid like her.

"Forget it. Your Uncle Yan is a conman. Don't trust him easily, okay? He will bully you if you listen to his nonsense."

"Okay," Little Star yielded to her Uncle Ji's request easily, much to Song Fengyan's chagrin.

He wanted to strangle Feng Tianyi right then and there. Did he really have to bad mouth him to this cute little girl? Ah, his poor heart. Why did he have to be subjected to his own cousin's tyranny?

He should be the one who calls Feng Tianyi a bully and a conman at the same time!
