Chapter 35: Some time apart (Julia)

I get out on the terrace and observe the sky to calm down.

The side I can see from here is getting darker, even though the sun hasn't set yet.

It's early to go out; the vampires must still be resting in their rooms while humans are finishing their working day.

It's a transition time where some are retiring, and others are coming out. Yet, it's peaceful.

My heart is still racing from before, and I can't stop thinking of the way I just acted. I won't be able to look at Leo in the eyes anymore!

But yet, it's not the first time I think this. In the end, we still continue like before, as if nothing happened.

But I'm shameless! I assaulted a man the moment I opened my eyes. What will he think now?

My body is crossed by waves of warmth at the thought. Will it be like this from now on? Will I be allowed to kiss Leo or do worse things with the excuse of the bound?

My reputation isn't a price too high to pay if that was the case.
