Chapter 16: Chapter 15
In the Country of Aria, there are two Cities. City of Mountains and Flora City, they are separated by dangerous lands.
Once or so the Old Books tell, they were once living in peace, side by side, blooming and prosperous. They fought together against other countries that wanted to cause them harm and were victorious in every battle.
Soon the other countries decided to leave them be and they had many years of peace to do as they wished, the Land itself celebrated this time and everyone remained happy.
But then in an absence of war, the Fairies decided to drop their weapons and take to other activities, they decided instead to invest in the land and become one with it.
The Elves saw this as idiocy but left the Fairies to do as they wished, The Elves decided to take from the land to build a complex civilization and formidable weapons of war.
The Fairies cultivated and gave to the land, earning them special abilities and Fairy Dust.
The Elves found out how important and useful Fairy Dust was but the Fairies refused to sell their life force, no matter how much the Elves offered.
The Elves then decided that they would take from the Fairies whatever they wanted, breaking the peace treaties between the two Cities.
The Goddess Aine gave certain Fairies powerful abilities and this was the beginning of Fairy Heroes, the peaceful nature of the Fairies made them spare the lives of the Elves.
They were now even stronger than the weapons of warfare that the Elves had built so they could have wiped them out without a single thought but instead, they used powerful magic to separate the two Cities.
The land in between them were filled with dangerous creatures and deadly creations of nature, anyone who tried to cross the distance was quickly stopped and even the Earth itself sought to swallow up anyone who tried to breach this distance.
The First Fairy Heroes eventually died out and there was a time of peace, the Fairies went back to their peaceful way of life and the Elves continued to work at improving their technology and their bodies.
After many years, the Elves found a way to cross the land separating them, now called the Desolate Lands but they achieved this with much difficulty. They then built a station in the Desolate Lands, close to Flora City while they awaited reinforcements.
When the Elves realized that the Desolate Lands weren't invincible they improved on their weapons and physical strength so much that they started to increase in size, it was with this determination that they built a tunnel from their City, the City of Mountains to Flora City where the Fairies were.
The Elves attacked the City of Flora after a few years of moving an entire army through tunnels, it was the safest route through. They had tried flying over the Desolate Lands but big flying creatures attacked their Airships and vines erupted from the ground to drag their hot air balloons down, the tunnels were their best option.
The Fairies were caught by surprise and being unfit for battle, fell to the onslaught of the Elves' wrath. The Elves enslaved them and made them mass produce Fairy Dust, this was to the detriment of the Fairies health and many of them perished.
All these occurrences led to the birth of Fairy Heroes as the Goddess Aine only gifted Fairies powers when they were in dire danger.
The battle was long and fierce but they managed to chase the Elves back to their City after many years of slavery.
The Elves came back again and again and again and there were Fairy Heroes to defeat them.
Then there was a spell of peace while the Elves held an internal battle on their leadership and when they came back they did so peacefully.
The Fairies are helpless creatures without their Heroes and they made sure to wait till the present Heroes had all died out, leaving them helpless. It was obvious that the Goddess Aine only created a new set of Fairy Heroes when the Fairies were in mortal danger so they decided that they would only come and forcibly collected what they wanted without harming any Fairy.
The Fairies hadn't seen this coming and so were thrown into an endless oppression from the Elves who were once their allies.
This was around the time Eden was born but before then the Heart of Flora was stolen.
The Heart is a precious glowing germ that gives Fairies the ability to make Fairy Dust and other little abilities like making plants grow faster than usual, talk to animals, create light and control water currents.
With the Heart gone, the Fairies slowly start to lose their abilities and if the Heart is gone for too long, new Fairies born will be without wings.
Once Fairies were wingless and the same size as the Elves but many things changed now and a lack of wings would spell doom for the Fairies.
The Heart was Stolen, this presented mortal danger to the Fairies so Heroes were born once more after many decades.
