The three of them sat on a booth in a nearby cafe.
Eve had changed back to her boots accordingly. Her head whipped from side to side. The cafe was a popular hangout among teens. It was close to the school and had a nice interior for photos. It was the go-to destination—some even stayed over to do homeworks or projects.
"What is it?" She heard Ambryan ask.
He sat by the window which Eve found peculiar. It wasn't until she took the seat next to him did she realize why he picked that spot. Because she was now on the opening side, she had Madame Isabelle sitting directly across from her.
Eve swallowed a laugh.
So there was someone in the world that Ambryan was afraid of.
"Madame Isabelle!" A waitress exclaimed, heading over their table straight away.
"Rose!" Madame Isabelle greeted with a wide smile. "Covering for someone today?"
Have a good day!
