Sonic, giving in to this mammoth's utter cuteness, cuddled the baby mammoth close to him. He smiled. This baby was a bit of a handful. But he was safe now, and that was all that really mattered. Pico let out a small little trumpet sound that may have been some sort of yawn. He closed his eyes and almost fell asleep in Sonic's arms. Sonja smiled warmly and nudged Tails with her elbow gently, who now seemed indifferent to it all.
Sonic felt like he had new purpose in life now. He was going to take care of this mammoth until it grew up into someone great. Just like him. Sonic, in some form, felt what it meant to be a father of some kind. Or at least a caretaker. He looked to Sonja, who floated over and cuddled the two close to her. Pico let out a trumpeting sound in joy.
Sonic looked up at Sonja. She seemed completely at peace. She breathed out a sigh of relief. Pico and Sonic were safe. For now.
Pico then went to cuddle Sonja. Sonic handed him to her, after he trumpeted goodbye to Sonic.
