Chapter 33: Tree Route Town
We reached the town by around 11:30 am and as the name says the town is surrounded by forest and there were tree houses where citizens stay. I was amused by the scenery and was also excited.
"Beautiful isn't it" Said Ashvin.
"Yes, it's so beautiful" I replied.
"You will like the gym as well, its forest themes like gym in Shikrapur Town. The gym leader Aster is a grass gym leader and she loves pokemon very much. She is also a pokemon veteran herself" Said Ashvin.
*Pokemon Veterans are those who can treat pokemon injuries and also they have knowledge about breeding. There are certain levels for pokemon veterans as there are of breeders and doctors. They are divided in Rookie, Elite and Master. The rookie veteran can treat a pokemon with minor injuries and knows knowledge of breeding but at some extent. Elite are those veterans who have experience of being a Pokemon Veteran for atleast 5 years and Master are those who are Elite Veterans for atleast 10 years. In the time where I reached, Brock from Kanto is famous Pokemon Veteran, He started with Champion Ash Ketchum and had dream to become a Breeder but later he started having fond in medical side as well so he started studying to be a Veteran instead of a pure breeder. Brock is Elite Veteran and have experience of 8 years.
"What level veteran she is" I asked.
"She is Elite Level Veteran with experience if 2 years as Elite" Replied Ashvin.
"Than she must be very knowledgeable" I said, rather surprised by what I heard.
"Yes, and she treats pokemons around forest sometimes as This town being in remote area so there are only 2 nurses so she take care of pokemons in forest" Ashvin said.
I was really interested in meeting this Gym Leader now. We all went to pokemon center and deposited our pokemons for treatment from the last 2 days trainings. Nurse told us to wait for sometime and she will call when checkups are done. I nodded and we all went to have seat on the couches in lobby. Ankita, Shruti and Aniket went to grab something to eat and I was discussing with Ashvin about the Gym Leader.
I saw in my pokenav about details of the Gym Leader and found the pokemons that she uses, Venasaur, Meganium, Tropius, Ludicolo, Breloom, Shiftry and Cradily. She also has Roserade, Grovyle and Exeggutor. She had Venasaur as Mega evolution pokemon only. I asked Ashvin about his battle with her.
"When I challenged her, we had 2 vs 2 battle and her Venasaur is devastating, My Magmar barely won against her pokemon, I was able to defeat her Shiftry with the help of Scizor but Scizor was defeated easily by Venasaur. So you should mainly look for her Venasaur as that pokemon is not that easy to defeat but I think at your level she will need to use Mega form but you can easily defeat her." Said Ashvin.
"Didn't she used Mega form" I asked.
"No it was my second gym challenge so she didn't but it will be your 5th one so get ready to face." He said.
"But I battled a Mega pokemon in my first 3 gym battles" I said.
"Yeah some gym leader use Mega considering your way of battling as they consider that you might have badges" Ashvin Replied.
I was convinced by his reply as in my previous battles my pokemons demonstrated great powers. Than I remembered my 4th gym battle and asked him "Why gym leader of Lavesia town didn't use any mega evolution"
"He is a new gym leader and I was the first trainer whom he battled and as per policy in savernia league one can get Mega Ring/Bracelet/Necklace from Professor if the professor of region thinks he/she is capable of it so not everyone has mega evolution" Said Ashvin, "Also Gym Leader Atharva of Florida Island don't use mega pokemon as league doesn't find him that experienced and he just took over his dad's position who was assassinated by Team Mind and he is not yet 18 years old so he will get once he is 18 years old or if league consider him worthy and as per record there is not trainer who got mega ring in their journey period. They have to show some potential" he continued.
"So I have to do something to prove that I am worthy to have Mega Ring" I asked.
"Yes, and I think you are worthy but you will need to prove league as well" Said Ashvin.
I want Mega Ring now, I will prove league that I am worthy and I will do it when I beat the leaders of Team Mind and Team Dark.
At 1:00 pm I reached at the gate of Gym which was made in a big tree. I went inside and told gym guy about the challenge but he told me that Gym Leader was not around and she went in the forest in west to treat an injured pokemon. He told me to wait but I wanted to see Aster treating a Pokemon so I went towards the west where gym guy told me aster was. My friends were in pokemon center as I told them to take rest and I will return after winning the gym challenge.
After walking for around 30 minutes I reached to a place where I heard someone's cry.
"Helppp" That unknown girl said.
I ran towards the sound and saw a girl surrounded by Primeape and Mankey. That girl was trying to protect a pokemon. That pokemon looked like, large sauropod-like Pokemon with a brown body wrapped in green leaves on its chest and head. It had large, broad green leaves on its back. I called out my Charizard and told her to Use Flamethrower to distract those Mankey and Primeape. I was successful in that and now I was the one who was going to be attacked. Though with ease Charizard was able to defeat all of them except for one Primeape who seemed to be their Leader. All other ran in the forest but that Primeape attacked Charizard with Close Combat move, that pokemon was tough, it took a while for charizard to defeat him but charizard was not that damaged because of her speed. When Primeape got defeated I captured him as he had some Potential and could be a beats when he will be trained under legenderies.
Then I walked towards the girl and helped her to stand Up, I checked the pokemon through my pokedex and it was a tropius, that tropius was looking tired and injured. I had some poffins made with berries with me which I offered her and she ate those puffins. That made tropius feel much better then I turned to the girl,
"Hey, are you alright" I said.
"Yes, if it wasn't for you then I end would have been different" She said.
"Don't say that, you could have managed that. By the way I am Ujjawal" I said extending my hand for hand shake.
"Hello, I am Aster" She said extending her hand to do hand shake.
'She is Aster, I looked at her, that girl might be around 22 years old, She is so beautiful.' I thought, I was attracted towards her.
"So, Ujjawal what are you doing here" Aster Said.
"I came looking for you, I wanted to challenge your gym" I said.
"That's great, let's go we can have our battle once we reach gym" She said, "Tropius why don't you come along and I will treat you in gym" Aster said to tropius for which tropius nodded and growled.
We all returned towards the town and then we went to gym. Aster asked gym trainers to take care of tropius and then we went to the battleground.
"So ujjawal, Thanks for helping me but don't think I will go easy on you for that" Said Aster.
"I also don't expect you to go easy on me" I said.
"Ujjawal, I am Aster Gym Leader of Tree Root Town and I accept your challenge. This will be 3 vs 3 battle and whoever defeats all pokemons of other will be winner. If you defeat me you will receive Leaf Badge and if I win then you will have to challenge me again. " Said Aster.
I nodded with that.
"Ok Ujjawal, I will start with this then" Aster said and send her Breloom.
I sent my pidgeot against Breloom.
