Chapter 10: Girl Talk

"I've got so much to do at the office."

"Sorry, but you're not going back to the office today. I've already made the arrangements. You're taking the afternoon off."

"But, I-"

"No buts. I'm your boss and I say, you're not allowed to go back to work."

"Okay, okay if the boss insists." You give him a small smile. "I'll drop you at your apartment."

"It's really okay, I'll walk from the office."

"Not on my watch. Give me directions to your home." You can't help but feel the care and love he portrays on you. You give up and tell him where to go. "Thank you once again for everything. I don't know what I would have done without you."

"It's was my pleasure..." He coughs. "I mean, not my pleasure as in pleasure. Just, I'm glad I could be of assistance." His face turns bright red and you can't help but laugh at him.

"I get what you're saying. You're my knight...anyway, this is me." (god, I hope he didn't get that.) He looks at you and smiles.
