Chapter 140: We meet again part 3

I fancied myself looking at the peeking sun from the far horizon. I remembered loving to watch both sunrise and sunsets before the world has fallen. It was my wake up call and the perfect distraction for the day ahead. 

I never liked the orphanage. Aside from Hero's presence there, the orphanage was like a prison to me as well. It was like Marcus Zephanie's lab. There was little to no freedom at all.

But the skies, the skies cheered me up. In my dark days, I tend to look at the sky and though it doesn't erase or change my situation, it was enough to at least make me feel better.

I began to drum my fingers on the railing of the rooftop, trying to mask my impatience with Rafael. He and I had not exchanged any words aside from a brief greeting and me needing to drag him all the way here.
