I can't help the mirth from escaping my usually stoic expression. The look of pure confusion plastered on Rafael's face was priceless.

I knew that it wasn't fair, but I also knew that at one point, he would be like Hero.

I never told Hero anything about what I was or who I am. However, Hero was sharp. He perceived that I was not normal.

After the apocalypse before our paths had separated when Marcus's clone took me out of the orphanage, he had discovered a partial truth about me.

I could vividly remember it.

I was having those memory dreams. Or at least I thought it was mine. The minute I realized that it wasn't, I had woken up, screaming.

The other kids, those who had survived, like us, were, of course, annoyed for being disturbed in the middle of their deep slumber.

I remembered running out of the room that we all shared, needing a minute away from everybody else. I headed straight towards The Memorial, knowing that it was deserted, hiding there.
