Chapter 4: Birthday Gift
I am looking over my status that I hear a knock on my door.
I close the status window and go to open the door. When I open the door, I see The Ancient One, standing there smiling at me.
Percy" Good Morning, Master."
AO" Good Morning, Percy. Happy Birthday."
Percy" Thank You, Master"
AO" Come with me. I have something to give for your journey tomorrow."
I obediently follow her. We silently walk through the old corridors of Kamar-Taj. We reach the door of the storehouse.
AO" Today we will be getting you your own artefact."
Percy" Thank You, Master"
She opens the door goes in, and I follow.
AO" Close your eyes and try to feel something calling to you."
I follow her words and close my eyes. I start feeling for something calling to me. I start walking erratically in the storehouse. I spent one whole hour in there but, unfortunately, I was unable an artefact for myself. I walk toward the AO.
Percy" Master, I didn't find an artefact for my self."
AO" Don't Worry, We have more artefacts in the different sanctums."
We leave the storehouse and go to the portal room.
Se went to the different sanctums one by one but, I had no luck in finding an artefact for myself. Now, only the Japan Sanctum is left.
We walk through the portal and enter a building made of wood and bamboo. I am sure it is protected by using some kind of wards or enchantments. We walk on the wooden tiles toward the artefact room. The AO slides the door open.
AO" Don't worry, I have a feeling that this is it. You will surely find an artefact for yourself in here."
Percy" It's Okay Master. Even I don't find an artefact I can protect myself."
I close my eyes and repeat the process that I have done in all the sanctums. I start roaming the artefact room. After half an hour, I feel a connection at the end of the room. I start walking there. As I walk there, the feeling slowly becomes stronger. After reaching the end, I open my eyes, and I become dumbstruck. I in front of me is a silver ring with the words " τόσο μεγάλο και μικρό.", I pick the ring, and I feel a rush of power. I turn towards the AO, and she appears to be stupified.
Percy" Master? Master... MASTER"
The AO awakens from her stupified state and looks at me like I am some god.
AO" I knew you were destined for Greatness, but I didn't think you were the Universes Saviour."
Percy" What do you mean Master?"
AO" Do you know what is written on that ring."
Percy" Yes. It means 'Greatness from small beginnings. But what does that have to with anything?"
AO" Do you who's ring that is or what it is?"
Percy" No."
AO" That ring's first owner was King Arthur, and that ring in your hands is The Excalibur. Gifted by The Lady of the Lake to King Arthur. It is said that whosoever wields Excalibur is destined for Greatness and protect the world from evil forces. It is Virtually indestructible and can kill gods, immortals, and spirits."
Percy" Wow. So I guess now I have to learn swordsmanship."
AO smiles and gestures towards the door. I nod and follow. We go back to Kamar-Taj and go to AO's private training ground.
AO" Wear the ring and think about the ring expanding"
I take a combat stance and follow her words. I wear the ring on my right middle finger. I close my eyes, feel the ring and think about it turning to a Sword, I sense some movement in my hand, and something appears in hand. I open my eyes, and I see a black katana. It has a curved, single-edged black blade with squared guard and black tsuka. I look at the AO with confusion in my eyes.
Percy" Master, isn't Excalibur supposed to be a long sword?"
AO" The sword changes its shape to the one that best suits the user."
Percy" Okay, so how do I turn it back? The same way?
AO" Yes."
I close my eyes and think about the sword turning back to a ring.
I open my eyes and once again observe the ring. The ring has a particular divine feel to it.
AO" So how does it feel?"
Percy" Strange."
AO" Okay. Come, let's celebrate."
We go inside the AO's private room and celebrate my birthday and me getting my artefact.
AO" So tomorrow you will begin your journey, Percy. I wish you all the best and don't forget you always have a home in Kamar-Taj."
Percy" Thank you, Master, and of course, Kamar-Taj will always be my home."
We spend the rest of our time talking about my time spent in Kamar-Taj and different things. Like this time passes by, and the next day arrives.
I wake up excitedly and get ready. I get dressed, wear my ring, watch(the arc reactor) and go outside. I go meet everyone and say my goodbyes after that I go to meet the AO. I go to her room and knock on the door. She welcomes me into her room and prepares some tea for me. I sit down with her and start taking tea.
Percy" Master, your tea really is the best. I will miss this."
AO" Thank You."
Percy" Master, I will leave shortly, I am here to ask for your permission and your blessing."
AO" Of course, you have my blessing and permission. You are my best student, after all."
Percy" Thank you master for the tea and teaching me these past two years. I will try to visit whenever I am free."
AO" I look forward to the stories of your journey. Let's go, you don't want to be late."
I nod and follow her outside. Outside everyone is there. I go to the centre and create a portal. I step half halfway through the portal, look back and smile. I then fully step into the portal and close it.

LectorBhai I spent the whole night thinking what to progress the story. Ig you some ideas, I am all ears. If you don't like the artefact, suggest something. I Spent two hours thinking about it.
