Chapter 71: An Absurd Ending

Cordelia bites into her finger, stamping the contract with her blood. As she did that her body starting from the bottom of her leg becomes dust slowly crawling up and eating away at her body.

"No, Mom!"

Maple held onto her hoping she wouldn't disappear from her.

"Ok I'll allow you to say that just this once and I'm about to become a goddamn spirit serving the Grim Reaper. How cool is that?"

"But you're going to leave me aren't you? I won't be able to see you again."

"What? Who said that? I can just give you a call while I'm working down there."

Maple had a confused face on her.

"Bu- but that's logically impossible? How would you be able to contact me from a different dimension? It's not even supposed to be a part of this reality."

"Maple."

Cordelia stares Maple in the eyes.
