Chapter 5: Friends at first sight
The door knocked. Lily hurried to open the door, and the Autumn Lady was fixing her silk
scarf. Both of them were very nervous, only Maestro was calm as always. The door opened
and the two girls met for the first time.
- Hi! I am Lily, come in! It's nice to meet you, finally.
- Thanks, I am glad as well, I am...
- Autumn Lady, I know, he has told me a lot about you.
- She is very talkative - whispered Maestro gently kissing her cheek.
- I can hear that - angrily said Lily.

She took off her coat, and Maestro took her to show the house.
They went to the hall. It had milky walls, white and wide shot windows, with light brown
curtains. In the left side of the room there was a huge wardrobe full of books, near the central
wall there was a piano with Maestro's father's signature, and at the right side of the room there
was a little table with different candies, fruits and dry fruits. All this created an old vintage
atmosphere in the room.
They set around the table and Lily brought tea with elegant tea service.
- I noticed a violin in the wardrobe, who plays it?
- Me, I spent almost 8 years studying to play it. That's my favorite instrument - politely
answered Lily.
- Wow, I guess, you two will make a great duet.
- Actually, yes, we do, we will play something today, right sweetie?
- Sure, that's a very good idea - answered Maestro.
- So, you are a teacher, right?
- Yes, but I am also interested in photography. I like vintage style, and by the way, your home
is a perfect place for such photos.
- Really? Nice to hear.
- And what do you do, besides music.
- Oh, I don't play music professionally, it's something like hobby. I am a psychologist.
- Ow, interesting.
- Yes, I think that psychology and music are aspects closely connected with each other.
- Very interesting idea, that might be true.
- In fact, I've always said that she should be a writer, she has thousands of that kind of
thoughts - interrupted Maestro.
- I think, it's thanks to that huge amount of books, right? - asked Autumn Lady with great
enthusiasm.

Maybe, I like reading a lot. In fact, those are my mother's books, only few of them are my
own.
- I have books which my father gave me, he also had a lot of them. What about you? What
books do you like, huh?
- I, umm - answered Maestro - I don't like books that much.
- What? Really? - surprised The Autumn Lady.
- Yeah, he prefers music. He has his own poems in his music.
- And what If I ask you to choose between films and books? What will you choose?

- You know what? - answered Lily - actually you do, you better bring some more cake for us.
The Autumn Lady smiled looking at Maestro's sour face.
They were talking till late evening, telling funny stories about their lives and jokes. The empty house which was filled only with Maestro's music, now was filled with his laughter as well.
