Chapter 253: Sir Richard

Nicole had thought long and hard in order to come up with a suitable excuse why Dan was absent from dinner yet again. She knew if she gave any silly excuse, the King and Queen might become suspicious of Dan and might have him followed.

From what little Dan had told her about the amnesiac lady, she felt sorry already for her, and she wouldn't want to bring her any trouble. Keeping the heir apparent to the throne away from his family at night was already enough trouble. How much more when they find out about her gender?

She was going to do everything within her power to make sure the lady wasn't caught. She had even forgotten to ask Dan her name. Now she was trying to protect someone she didn't even know her name. How weird could it get? She mused as she shifted uncomfortably in her seat while they were being served dinner.
