Chapter 134: Like A Brother?

"You're sure you don't want me to drop you off? I could easily take you home and then come back in time to pick the boss," Zach offered when Bella informed him that she had been given the day off. 

"That won't be necessary. Besides, I need to stop somewhere anyway. I don't want to put you through that stress," Bella lied. 

"If you say so. But I still don't understand why you're taking the day off when it's just Monday. Is everything okay at home? Did something happen?" Zach asked with a concerned frown. 

"Everything is okay. I think the boss is going to visit his family, so he doesn't want me to just hang around idly. I really have to go now," Bella repeated.

"Okay. Call me if you run into any kind of trouble," Zach said, making Bella grin. 

"Yes, sir," Bella said with a mock salute as she walked away.
