A wide range of weapons are found in the world, varying in quality, size, and usage among the four nations. Metal is the principal material used in the construction of most weapons. The Fire Nation is the most technologically advanced when it came to manufacturing weapons due to their initiation of and dominant role in the current war.
The invention of metalbending had a significant impact on weaponry usage and manufacturing. Since metalbenders could simply deform or otherwise defeat weapons from earlier time periods, people had to utilize other forms of fighting that did not involve metal-based weapons. But metalbending didn't exist in the current war yet, and the inventor and it's predecessor was still in her house and still being pampered by her parents.
Ling left the army's training ground and proceed to walk to his destination. He passed different stores and markets in the streets selling as porcelains, chairs and etc. Different things can be seen and many people with different status buying them. This time Ling saw a particular store in the area.
Seeing various handheld weapons displayed in the store, he can confer that this is blacksmith store. There are different melee weapons presented like broadswords, polearms, spears and etc.
"Now that I think about it, I didn't receive any ninja tools from the gacha. Well let's buy some stuffs to practice with" Ling mumbled to himself. Entering the store he was received by a middle aged man.
"Esteemed sir, what can I do for you" a respectful tone can be heard from the man. Well, they have different status, so it was necessary to call him that and another thing is that he can see an emblem on the boy, signifying that he belonged to a upper class family.
"Don't mind me I'm just looking for weapons" Ling replied
"Well, you can call me, if you have some concerns sir" bowing to Ling, the man left him to his own devices.
This time Ling can see different types of weapons, with their names labeling them. What was strange in this world was that the writing and literary system were chinese characters and the language being spoken was english, it's pretty bizarre.
Ling can read the characters though. He was taught by his mother when he was a child and maybe it was thanks to his genius quirk he got after reincarnating, he can learn it easily. Looking at the weapon in front of him he can see a halberd-spear with a crescent moon-shaped blade on one or both sides, it's called Jii.
Besides it, another type of weapon was displayed. It was labeled with the name Jian. 'Oh, I think this was the sword that can cut over a foot of solid metal or rock. If I remember it correctly, it was used by Piandao in the canon and was made by a piece of meteorite' Ling mentally thought.
"If I can just get the Kusanagi sword in the gacha" Ling whispered to himself silently. Thinking of that sword which was a chakra induced metal he can't help but feel giddy about it. 'And don't forget the Gunbai of Madara, which can reflect an opponents attacked back to them' thinking the possibility of acquiring the weapon and using it, he can help but show a smirk.
Walking in a different section in the store he can see wires, traps and all kinds of tools that can be used in tandem with hidden weapons. After being done looking at the various weapons, he bought a set of ranged weapons, like stilettos which he was familiar with, traps, wires and a utility bag to store them.
Exiting the a store he went to the forest to laze and have some fun to pass time.
"Hmm, well there nothing to do. Let's just do some training and be more familiar with shurikenjutsu I recently acquired"
"Hmm, maybe I can emulate the moves I watched in the canon, while also be more familiar with it" smirking to himself, Ling started to assemble the necessary set up to accomplish that moves. After some time had passed, it was ready.
'Well, here goes nothing'

He closed his eyes and suddenly...
SWISHHH
He threw several sharp objects in various directions in the air.
There were a lot of wires that were connected to traps. Ling accurately throws and hit it.
SWOOSH
The wires were cut and the traps activated.
FOOOSH
"BE CAREFUL!"
Various weapons were thrown in his direction. He heard his name being called, knowing that it was the voice he was familiar with, he just continued.
His eyes were still shut and, as the weapons closed in, he vanished!
The eyes of the three girls who watched Ling widened when they saw him in the air, dodging several weapons at high speed.
Two sharp objects came toward him but he threw two of the same objects to intercept them. Four more object was coming on his four different sides, but using his hands he flickered it in a blurry manner and throw the remaining stilettos deflecting it.
He landed on a branch and, instantly, multiple sharp objects were thrown in his direction
He immediately did a backflip and landed safely on the platform. As he finished, he slowly opened his eyes, revealing an enchanting red eyes with three strange black markings.
Mai, Ty Lee and Azula eyes were wide open, completely stunned. During the whole process, their heart was beating madly. They never saw something this beautiful. This scene would forever be engraved in their heart. Especially those eyes, Mai was baffled when she knew that his eyes were always blue.
Ling stopped supplying chakra to his eyes and it returned to normal. Well there is no harm done in showing his eyes, there were a lot of peculiarities in this world and he can just bullsh*t his way out to others, like explaining that it came from the spirits.
Also fire nation officials in this era didn't care about other things like spirits and the like, they only want to expand and conquer the world. It's another thing when the Fire Sages where still an independent rule, in the time of Avatar Roku. Where they were very concerned regarding the other side of the material world, the spirit world. But now, Fire Sages where under the direct rule of the Fire Lord himself.
Ling notices that Mai wasn't alone and brought some of her acquaintance. Looking at the girls beside her, he can already guess their identities.
"Oh, hi Mai. Fancy seeing you here" Ling initiated the conversation first. Looking at the two beautiful young ladies beside her, he introduced himself.
"Hello, nice meeting you. I'm Ling Tian from the Tian Family" Ling smiled and spoke to them. Walking calmly to the trio, Ling turn to Mai who was still light trance, well all of them were.
Raising his hand and extending his two finger above her forehead and ...
POKE
Mai wasn't expecting that, she broke out in her trance and blush. Covering her forehead, she look at Ling angrily.
"Hey, why do you always do that?"
"Haha, well can you introduce your friends first?"
" ..... "
" ..... "
"Well this ar--" but before she can finish saying her words somebody cut her off.
"Hi my name is Ty Lee. Hey, how can you do that, and what happen to your eyes recently, they became red?" she approached Ling with an excited manner.
"Yes, now that you mention it, Ling why we're your eyes red?" Mai spoke this time while glaring to Ty Lee who cut her off.
"Oh, this. Well it was some sort of accident or you should say a blessing" scratching his head, he already planned an excuse on what to say, if someone questioned him.
"Accident?" this time the last girl spoke.
"Yes, an accident" Ling calmly replied with a smile and turn to her.
Noticing the look he gave she introduced herself.
"I'm Azula, daughter of Prince Ozai and the granddaughter of the current Fire Lord" saying it an condensing manner. While raising her chin lightly.
Ling just smiled inwardly with the behavior she shown.
"Hello" he replied with a calm tone to her. And started explaining the 'reason' about his red eyes to them. Azula was speechless with his reply to her. 'Hey, I'm the royal princess, one should show fear and reverence when I mentioned my background'
" ..... "
" ..... "
"Wai--"

Ling started to recall his past 'memories' and 'experience' why he started to have red eyes.
"Yes, it started a year ago during the first half of the solstice, specifically the summer solstice"
"Solstice?" Ty Lee asked this time
"Yeah, I was just walking in this forest to train when I noticed some rustling in the bushes. I walked near it and saw a peculiar rabbit. It was glowing in blue color while having a wings on the back" he paused for a moment to increase the tension of his 'memories'.
"I was a curious since that was the first time I saw that kind of animal. I walked near to it and tried to touch it, but my fingers just went through to it's body"
"After I touched it, I was knocked unconscious for a few hours. When I woke up the the duration of the solstice passed. But when I regained my clarity I noticed that my eyesight was very clear. When I saw my reflection in a small puddle in the ground my eyes were already like this" Lings eyes suddenly turn red and morphed into three comma-like patterns.
"So beautiful" Ty Lee can't help but spoke out. Mai can't help but nod while the irritated Azula was also captivated at this moment. Well, they can't be blame. Sharingan really is a beautiful pair of eyes.
"Maybe you touched a spirit Ling. During solstice, the spirits will gain access to the human realm in a short amount of time. And maybe that spirit gave you that ability" Mai replied this time while her two friends can't help but nod, well it was part of the lesson they learnt.
