Chapter 6
The Fire Nation military is comprised of a large number of personnel, with an extensive propaganda campaign used to convince people to volunteer. The nation's army is the second largest in the world in terms of numbers and it maintains the largest navy. The military also possesses advanced and powerful military equipment, giving it huge military capabilities and power projection solidifying itself as the most powerful military force in the world.
While most of its military forces are preoccupied with the conquest of the other Nations, the Fire Nation maintains a large and formidable domestic army to defend and enforce the law in both the homeland and a few of the larger mainland colonies. As opposed to the army, the domestic army employs a surprisingly large number of female warriors and firebenders, who usually do not serve on the front lines. They also serve to train new recruits for both the army and the navy.
Ling who escaped the endless pursuit of his classmates arrived at the vicinity where new recruits and soldiers where being trained at. People who can fire bend or strong physically no matter what their status is, except for the criminals and prisoners were given a chance to work for the Fire Nation as soldiers in the front lines or being a domestic soldiers who maintain the order and peace within the nation.
Passing by the courtyard to reach his usual lazing place, Ling saw the training of the recruits and soldiers within the place. Doing repetitive moveset for basic trainings and practicing martial arts used by fire benders.
"No matter how much I saw it, this martial arts was very similar to the Kung Fu movies I saw in my past life. Well, Avatar world was based on Asian cultures after all" Ling mumbled to himself.
"This martial arts from what I remember is a Northern Shaolin Kung fu. It's a very strong, dynamic style that uses powerful hand and leg movements. It tends to emphasize speed, agility, stamina and flexibility, with much more dynamic footwork"
"But compared to the taijutsu in Naruto world, it's still very far behind" Ling softly said while thinking about the taijutsu performed by Madara, Rock Lee and Might Guy.
'Sigh, though I had the gentle fist but I can't really bring it to it's full potential without it's byakugan' Ling sighed mentally. Well, he knows how to perform it, but he can't perform it like Neji did in the chunin exam, he don't have the corresponding doujutsu after all.
Gentle fist is pretty similar to chi blocking in this world. Chi blocking disables the individual's chi flow and preventing them to use it and especially very dangerous for those people who rely much more on bending, though the effect will wear of after sometime has passed.
But for gentle fist not only it will block the flow of chakra but it will cause severe internal damage inside the body which is very dangerous just by tapping the special nodes within the body. Each people have circulatory networks in their body, whether if it chakra or chi. By sealing or attacking those points, one can disable the network and rendering it useless.
Thinking about using it in a fight while saying "You're within my range" brought a smile to his face. People who saw this was captivated especially the women in the courtyard. 'What a cute boy, he will be very handsome when he grows up' most of the women thought of. Looking by his appearance, they could pretty much guess that he was a student in one of the prestigious academies within the nation.
Noticing the stares he'd received, he just smiled lightly to them and walked away slowly to his destination.

"When did you guys meet" an energetic young girl said while walking in the residential area. This girl was Ty Lee who was dragged because someone wanted to see a certain boy.
"My father had a business partnership with their family two years ago" Mai replied with a calm demeanor.
"Eh, so you guys were friends for two years, and you never mentioned it to us once"
" ..... " Mai just stay silent and continued to walk forward.
"Is he handsome and cute" Ty Lee continued to pester and questioned Mai. Though this time they noticed a red hue on her cheeks and ears.
"Really! do yo--" but before Ty Lee can continue another young girl interjected.
"Can he firebend?"
"No, he can't firebend, his family were non benders" Mai replied this time.
"Well, if that's the case he is weak, I bet I can defeat him easily"
"No! He isn't weak, he is a genius" Mai said with a tone of anger in her voice. Her reply was so sudden that it surprised both her friends.
"Azula, Mai calm down" Ty Lee intervene this time when she saw the atmosphere turn weird.
"Ho ho, let's see then. After all, only divine right to rule is needed in this world" Azula replied confidently.
Born a princess and hailed as a prodigy, Azula grew up to be narcissistic and confident. She relentlessly drilled herself toward perfection and settled for nothing less from herself or those who served her. She believed that power and domination were the defining traits of strength, and as such would only help others if she thought there was some personal gain at stake.
"Just watch" Mai replied begrudgingly and lead them to his usual spot. After arriving at the location they met several of his classmates who pointed out that Ling Tian wasn't behind the academy. The boys in the academy was surprised to know that some beautiful girls were asking for Ling.
Mai and the company left the school grounds and went to a certain forest in which she believed that Ling was there to laze again. After sometime they arrived at the location.
When they arrived, they saw him.
He was standing in front of a platform and he was wearing a black outfit with high collar and with orange inners clothes with his usual black sandals, his own version of uniform.
He looked very good in this outfit.
"Mai, you didn't told us that he is very handsome" This time Ty Lee said to Mai who had a sparkling eyes while looking to Ling.
Even the haughty princess was not spared, having a little red hue on her cheeks before returning to normal. Well, who can she be blame, Ling had an uncommon hair in this nation and was very handsome for his age. And all she can see in the palace were middle-aged servants, guards and his simp older brother.
They was about to call out to him but decided to wait to see what he was about to do.
He closed his eyes and suddenly...
SWISHHH
He threw several sharp objects in various directions in the air.
When they saw where the object was thrown, they was shocked!
There were a lot of wires that were connected to traps. He actually activated these traps himself?!
"Be careful" Mai cannot help but shout to him.
