Chapter 25: Part Twenty Five (Finale)

Nathan went back to Joseph's place. As he stepped inside the house, he saw Joseph running down the stairs and quickly came up to him.

"How's your mother?" Joseph asked as a broad frown was shown on his face.

Nathan could clearly saw that Joseph was very worried. "She's fine. Thanks for asking." Nathan replied with a soft smile.

Joseph had a sigh of relief after knowing that his mother was fine.

"So... you're not gonna ask me if I'm okay huh?" Nathan pretented to be unamused he closed the door behind him.

"I'm sorry... Are you okay?"

Nathan did not respond. Instead, he just stared at Joseph.

"Your mother is the one in the hospital, you know...?" Joseph whimpered.

"I'm just messing with you. I'm fine." Nathan smirked, touching Joseph's chin.

"Awww, you scared me..." Joseph's lips parted into a timid smile. His face turned more red as Nathan touched his face.

"By the way, I have some great news." Nathan continued, "This time I'm not messing with you."

"What is it?" Joseph asked.

"My mom finally accepted our relationship!" Nathan exclaimed, putting both of his hands on Joseph's shoulders.

"No way! Really?" Joseph could not believe what he just heard. He never expected that Nathan's mother would change her mind.

"Yes! She really did approve of our relationship!" Nathan squealed with excitement.

Joseph's eyes were immediately filled with tears, not the tears of sorrow or sadness, but the tears of joy.

"Aww, baby don't cry..." Nathan pulled Joseph into a hug.

"How did you do that?" Joseph said with his head buried in Nathan's shoulder.

"I guess I need to thank my ex girlfriend for that. She's the one who told me about my mom." Nathan replied, "If she didn't call me in the first place, I would never know that my mom was sent to the hospital."

"Then, what happened next?" Joseph purred.

Nathan told Joseph what happened at the hospital and how he used kindness to change his mother's mind.

"And that's it." Nathan said proudly. However, he did not get any response from Joseph.

"Baby? Are you okay?" Nathan gently tapped Joseph's back.

"I'm okay... I'm just too happy. I still can't believe that we are finally being accepted by your mother."

Nathan giggled a bit and whispered, "I can't believe it too actually."

They shared a hug for a while. Neither of them wanted to let go as they both enjoyed being in each other's arms and felt the warmth from the other.

"Do you want to do something to celebrate?" Nathan suggested.

"Sure. What do you want to do?" Joseph asked.

"But before that, I want to get some rest. I'm tired."

"Oops, I forgot that you were sleeping in my room before you left." Joseph pulled away.

"Can I still sleep in your room then?" Nathan asked.

"Of course. Have a good sleep." Joseph smiled.

"See you later then." Nathan yawned and headed to Joseph's bedroom.

"Wait!"

"Hmm?" Nathan turned around and he was being kissed on the lips.

"I forgot to give you a good sleep kiss." Joseph said, trying to look away to avoid eye contact.

Nathan grinned. "You know how to flirt now yeah?"

Joseph blushed as he tried to hold in a smile.

"Come here, you little man!" Nathan exclaimed as he lifted up Joseph up from the ground.

"I'm not little! You're little! I'm taller than you!" Joseph shouted while he was being carried over Nathan's shoulder.

"You're lighter than me though."

"I'm still bigger." Joseph crossed his legs around Nathan's waist as he looked Nathan in the eyes.

Time felt like it was slowing down when the blue eyes met with the green eyes. None of them wanted to move their eyes away from the other.

"We'll see." Nathan said with a smirk on his face.

"Where are we going?" Joseph asked as Nathan tried to head to somewhere.

"To your room." Nathan replied as he ran up the stairs, carrying Joseph.

"Aren't you tired?"

"Not anymore!" Nathan exclaimed before they both entered Joseph's room, leaving all the things behind.

They could finally enjoy the other's company peacefully without having to worry about anything at all. No more family objections; no more ex girlfriend; no more questioning.

Although no one would not know what the future holds or whether there would be any more problems awaiting them, at least they could now be in each other's arms freely and happily.

Life is short. Time goes by fast. Treasure every moment of your life. Cherish everyone in front of your eyes.
