The next morning, Catherine woke Seth up. She'd fixed breakfast. His stomach growled. She handed him some clothes that looked old. He put them on and he realized they must have been her husbands. He walked out to the kitchen and found a girl that looked a lot like Catherine sitting at the table. She didn't look too happy about him being there.
"Have a seat, Seth. Lacy doesn't bite."
"Is Lacy your daughter?" Seth asked as he sat down.
"Yes. Ken and I were so excited to find out we were having a baby. Money was tight but we were making it. With a baby on the way, he thought we needed to supplement our income. He took that stupid job because the money was good. The wolves wanted him to cover their scents. I told him it would come back on him. He never did listen to me."
"Did he even meet your daughter?"
"No. I was five months pregnant when he died."
"So, she's not even 21 yet?"
"No. She's 19 right now."
