Chapter 9: Chapter 8: Ana Meets Vernon
Ana's POV
Good afternoon everyone it is I, Ana Abby Brown you can call Ana in short. I'm currently here in a store where you can find all different kinds of glass for your eyes. I just finished buying all the stuffs that I needed except for my glasses. I'm looking for one right now but I can't choose because they all look great. While I was roaming around something caught my attention.
I saw this glasses and I really loved it. I went straight to it and tried it on. And guess what? It fits me perfectly. I looked at the cost of this glasses and saw that this glass costs 3k. Wow so expensive for just one glass but never mind. I really want this so I quickly went to cashier and paid for this glasses.
After I paid for my glasses I went to a milktea store near by. Minutes passed, it was my turn to order.
"One Strawberry Bubble Milktea please."
"Ok ma'am anything else?"
"No I'm fine with milktea only."
"Ok ma'am that will be 200 pesos."
" Ok here's 300 pesos keep the change."
"By the way ma'am what's your name?"
"It's Ana."
"Ok ma'am Ana please take a sit while waiting for your order to be served."
I sat at the chair near by and I decided to check my phone to see if there are any messages. I opened my phone and I immediately saw unnie Chelsea's name. I quickly read her message because maybe it's something important.
From: Unnie Chelsea
Unnie I'm here at xxxx restaurant. We're going to eat here and don't worry it's my treat. I'll be waiting for you.
I smiled and continued reading the other messages. While waiting, I suddenly heard my name being called.
"One Strawberry Bubble Milktea for ma'am Ana!"
I stood up and went to claim my bubble milktea. After I claimed it, I was getting the straw because I'm really thirsty right know. When I finally found it, I started walking to the restaurant unnie Chelsea was talking about. But suddenly a guy bumped into me and spilled his milktea on me. He was looking at his phone that's why he didn't see me.
"What the hell! Are you blind?!"
I said while looking at him angrily.
"Miss I'm so so sorry."
He apologized to me.
"Sorry? Do you think your sorry can fix my outfit!? It's all covered in milktea!"
I said to him and pointed at my wet clothes.
"Miss I'm really sorry, how about you pick some clothes and I'll just pay for it."
"Tss ok fine! But you better make sure that your paying. Now follow me."
He didn't say anything and just followed me to the clothes store. I went in and find some clothes that I'll be wearing. While the guy that spilled his milktea into my clothes waited in the counter.
A few minutes later...
I finally got the clothes that I wanted. I got a light green shirt and a simple jeans.
I told him to pay for this and give it to me in the fitting room. I ask the staffs if they can lend me a wet towel, good thing they have and gave me one.
While I was cleaning myself suddenly one of the staffs knocked.
"Ma'am, sir Vernon told me to give you these clothes. He said that he already paid for it and he also got you a paper bag so you can put your dirty clothes there."
* Opens the door slightly *
" Ok tell Vernon I said thank you."
" Yes ma'am."
She bowed a little then left already. I wore the clothes and quickly went out to find him.
" So Vernon is his name."
I said to myself.
I'm currently looking for him right now and then I saw him outside the store, he's on his phone again.
" Hey Vernon I think I should go now."
" Oh sure and again I'm truly sorry about earlier, I wasn't looking at my way. "
" It's okie but next time be careful. Byee."
I said to him and finally walked away.
A few minutes later...
I finally arrived at the restaurant where unnie Rana and Chelsea are. I went inside and searched for them. Then I saw them on the corner sitting in a sofa, that's actually our favorite spot.
"Hey unnies sorry I took long, something just happened earlier."
I said to them and sat down.
"Did you bought everything that you needed?"
Unnie Chelsea asked me.
"Yes unnie."
" What happened earlier unnie Ana? And why are your clothes different?"
Unnie Reina asked me worriedly.
"Ok so while I was walking to go here, suddenly a guy bumped into me and spilled all of his milktea on me. He didn't saw me because he was focused on his phone. Of course I was mad at him, because I didn't have some spare clothes. But he said that he was sorry, and I told him to pay for this outfit that I'm wearing today as a apology. It's a good thing that he agreed right away. And as far as I remember his name is Vernon."
"So that's why you took so long to arrive here."
Unnie Reina said to me.
"Are you sure that your ok?"
Unnie Chelsea asked me with an worried expression.
"Oh don't worry unnie I'm perfectly fine... How about the two of you? Did something happen? When the three of us separated our ways?"
I ask them.
" Yeah."
Unnie Chelsea replied.
"Same here."
Unnie Reina also replied to me.
" Really? What a coincidence. So who wants to go first?"
I asked them.
" Me unnie."
Unnie Ana said to me and I noticed how her expression changed.
" Ok unnie Reina go ahead, tell us what happened."
" Ok so it all started in a candy store... I entered there and saw a big hersey's chocolate. I grabbed it and was about to go to the cashier, then suddenly a guy tapped my shoulder. I asked him if he needs anything, and he told that he also wanted my hersey's chocolate bar. I didn't agree with him and tried to walk by pass him but, he stopped me and even told me that he'll give me 5k if I give him the chocolate haha. That pissed me off a little that's why I told him to get out of my way before I make him. And then he underestimated me. So I didn't let that pass, so I gave him one hard punch on his face. And then I told him "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I paid for my chocolate and exited that candy store and went here."
"That's our unnie haha."
I said to her while smiling.
"Good thing you punched him on the face or else I'll kill him for underestimating you."
Unnie Chelsea said.
" Aww it's ok unnie Chelsea I already took care of that bastard. So since I'm done telling you guys on what happened to me... Unnie Chelsea? It's your turn! Tell us what happened."
Unnie Ana said to unnie Chelsea while smiling.
I saw that unnie Chelsea took a deep breath before talking.
" Ok fine. I was at NBS ( National Book Store) that time when I met a guy. How did I met him? Because we both wanted the last piece of the full set of Harry Potter books. We were arguing about the set of books until... He pulled the set of books hard towards him. And that cause me to fall on the ground. He even called me a bitch. That's why I tripped him and quickly paid for everything that I bought and leave that store. He's lucky because I'm not in the mood to fight or else... I wouldn't hesitate to beat his ass in that store."
"That's so cool unnie."
I said to unnie Chelsea.
"He's lucky I wasn't there because if I was... He would be in the hospital right now."
Unnie Reina said to her then smirked.
"Calm down unnie Reina it's already done."
"Excuse me ma'am here are your orders."
The three of us looked at the waiter and saw many foods on a tray. But something catch my eye...
Is that CARBONARA!?
"Unnie Chelsea did you ordered carbonara for me?"
I asked her while looking at her cutely.
"Yes I did. Because I ordered carbonara as well, and I remembered that you really love this kind of pasta. So I ordered two carbonaras for you."
She said to me and smiled.
I stood up and quickly hugged her.
"You really know me very well unnie."
I said and got back to my sit because I'm really hungry.
"What do you expect? I'm your unnie after all."
She said and got her pasta and started eating.
I looked at unnie Reina but it looks like that she already started eating a while ago. I just chuckle and continued eating. But I still can't stop thinking about that guy earlier.
Will I meet him again?
Vernon's POV
Hello everyone my name is Vernon Ray Lopez call me Vernon in short. I'm currently here in a cake shop eating some cake. While eating, I remembered the girl that I met earlier. I got to admit, she's pretty cute when she's angry.
I smiled a little and finished eating the cake that I ordered. I stood up from my sit and headed to the parking lot.
I hope that I can meet that girl again...
