Chapter 20: Chapter 19: A feeling of change
Next morning...
Autumn was the first to wake up as usual but if you look at him in a third party's eye you will see the color of his eyes look different from the usual dark black eyes. His pupil in the right is pure red and was surrounded by dark-blue flames, his left eyes however were the opposite the pupil was dark-blue colored surrounded by pure red blood substance and has the illusion of flooding the world red.
Half of his face was covered in red intricate lines like a rune that was like made by a grandmaster, the other half was filled with dark-blue flame scales that were in an illusionary state but has enough pressure to make a God fell in danger.
But all that lasted within 2 seconds as it quickly subsided like it never existed.
Autumn then saw the familiar film in his body but was much darker and thicker about 6cm thick which is two times thicker than yesterday. The same with Sarah and Mia about 4cm and 2cm respectively.
He cast the cleaning spell and all the black film and stench was gone replaced with a lavender or spring smell which helps you relax.
Autumn was pondering why the film was thicker than usual, he didn't kill many creatures which are about 2 wind deer and 3 horn rabbits which puzzled him.
As Autumn was pondering about this, a cold mechanical voice rang through his mind answering him.
Ding!
"The answer for host question is that the bandits you killed had a thick grudge and killing intent which can only be formed if one has killed 1,000 lives and the bandit leader's killing intent and grudge was 3 times thicker than his minions which totaled to 4,000 lives either from innocent people or cultivators. The grudges, despair, pain, and all the killing intent of all the bandits you killed where devoured into you heart including the grudges of all the people they killed making it much thicker and pure which are used to transform your body altogether, but some leakage will form so instead of wasting the essence, the system decided to integrate them to your two companions."
Autumn was stun by this answer and was immediately poured with cold water that this world is much crueler than the mundane world he was in before. Whether your innocent or a cultivator if you don't have the strength you will only be a lamb for slaughter in the eyes with power. You first must have power before you can talk or negotiate only then are you qualified to talk to those who wield real power.
Autumn then strengthens his resolve to strive to get strong and protect everything that he cares about even if it's killing a million lives to save one, its enough reason for him to kill.
Autumn hasn't realized the impact of the Asura Heart Mantra that was changing him, if it was his past self he wouldn't dare exchange a million lives for one person heck not even daring to kill a chicken. But now his mentality is getting closer to becoming an Asura King fitting his title and honor of becoming a king of the ancient Asura clan.
As Autumn was strengthening his resolve for the future, Sarah woke up groggily and yawn like a kitten. She first felt the soft bed and fluffy pillow under her and a firm arm hugging her keeping her safe in this warm embrace making her little heart flutter.
Sarah looked behind her and saw a dark night eyes staring at her with a gentle and teasing look at her. Then she heard the familiar teasing but caring voice.
"Good morning little glutton."
Sarah immediately pouted and said with a coquettish voice.
"I'm not a glutton I just have a big appetite..."
Autumn chuckled lightly and was about to sit up to stretch when Sarah pounce on him and pummeled him with her tiny fist but it didn't hurt a single bit.
"Why do you have to bully me early in the morning!!!!"
Sarah said with a fake angry voice as she punches his chest repeatedly.
Autumn was speechless for a bit and laugh loudly at her cute antics making him feel relax and hope to keep that smile on her face no matter what.
As Autumn and Sarah were playing around, Mia on the other side was woken up by the ruckus and slowly sat up as she tiredly looks at the children that were playing around and thought to herself.
"Is he really a demon? It makes me wonder how can his face change from the cruel demon king that killed people mercilessly to this scenario where his pummelled by the tiny Sarah, his mood change as fast as flipping through a book it's like normal to him no matter what angle you look from it."
Mia can only sign silently as she thought of this making her confuse and relieve at the same thinking that his not a cruel demon to everyone he meets.
Autumn was oblivious to Mia's thoughts as he was still playing with Sarah.
After 30 minutes of playing...
Autumn piggyback Sarah and was preparing to hunt some beast for breakfast. He suddenly remembered something and turn to Mia who was still lying in bed and said.
"Oh Mia be prepared mentally and physically because you will be facing a Warrior level 8 beast today even though your only Warrior level 4 but with the skills, I taught you it should fairly easy enough to kill one"
Then proceeded to walk out without caring for the reaction of Mia and prepared to hunt. As for Mia she was stun silly and took a deep breath to calm her down and just did what she was told.
"Haaaah, its really tough to have a teacher like Autumn but his techniques came from the Asura clan which can only be cultivated in battle and honing your skills. I wonder how much pressure did Autumn have to master his skills and his only 12 years old too. I have to admit he's a genius and hardworking one too."
Mia thought silently as she saves her energy for upcoming combat training.
