Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Returning to the City
After Autumn was done bathing he changes his clothes and then he wandered around the forest, along the way he saw many creatures in the outer area of the forest but most of then are friendly unless you attack them like wind deers or fire squirrels.
Occasionally I would stumble upon a dangerous beast like the Poisonous Fire Viper or Mischievous Wood Monkeys.
After the sun was at its peak he finally came outside the forest and saw the bustling city 3 miles away from him but there was something strange he discovered when he was walking around the forest trying to find the exit, that he was never hungry or thirsty which was really weird.
But when I was halfway through finding the exit I remember the stone that kept me alive when I crossed to this world, he reached for his pocket and found out that it was slightly glowing, intuition told him this thing is the reason why he never starves and felt thirsty or even died.
So he was very thankful for this stone that kept him alive for this long.
Then Autumn put the stone in the system storage so that it will never be lost and started to walk through the city gate where caravans line up to pass through the Blackstone City and try to sell or trade their goods with the natives here hoping to get a bit more profit.
Autumn was stopped by a guard and the inspected him, then found nothing on him and let Autumn passed through the city gate.
What came on Autumn's view was a bustling town with many stalls line in front selling different goods ranging from fruits, rice, vegetables, meat, ores, weapons, and alcohol from various places.
Autumn walked through the marketplace and look around the different goods, experiencing this new world he looks around like a baby, his eyes full of curiosity and wonder making him eyed by merchants as he walks.
As Autumn was enjoying the new experience, a shadow was trailing behind him like a cat that's trying to hunt mice in the household.
The shadow hid on top of a shop building where Autumn was heading inside, the shop's name was Herbs & Medicine.
Autumn arrived at a shelf full of herbs that he never saw before and they smell so fresh too like a virgin soil that was been rained for 1 day and seeing flowers bloom after the rain stopped, this is the image Autumn imagine in his head.
After he went through all the shelves, he walks out of the shop and aims to explore more of the city.
5 hours later...
After hours of walking around the market place, Autumn looked at the sun that was about to set, he reached to his pocket and found nothing more than stones and dirt that was picked up in the forest, he doesn't have any money to stay in an inn.
"What to do in this predicament I don't have coins on me and asking for money from complete strangers is embarrassing and awkward hmmm..." Autumn though silently.
As Autumn was thinking something caught his attention, he saw something flashed it look very sharp then he saw a silhouette following him.
Autumn walked through an alley with no people around then the silhouette followed him after they entered the alley.
Autumn rushed to the silhouette, and aim to punch the opponent's stomach, the silhouette was surprised and speechlessly not even a word to say the other party already rushed to him.
The shadow prepared to counter-attack Autumn but suddenly felt an instinctive sense of death looming over him, his instinct told him that if he defends he will surely die.
The shadow was frightened and hurried to dodge the punch.
The punch hit the wall behind the shadow and heard a loud noise.
Crash!!
The shadow looked at the wall that was cracked in a circular form with a width of 4 meters and dented 1 meter down, the shadow was horrified and tried to find ways to escape but the escape route was already blocked by Autumn, the shadow looked up and saw metal pipe that was in the side of a building.
The shadow ran for it and tried to escape through the rooftop hoping the other party would lose his trail there.
