"Stop barking, Rowie!" Vanilla ordered. The pup barely did it, especially ever since he gained a voice and reason, but this time, she found it incredibly annoying to her ears as she tried to discern who was the person inside the taxi cab.
Would it be too obvious and inappropriate to just stare from the edge of the door, like an uneducated child, or like a curious cat? She put her hands on the doorknob and twisted it repeatedly, giving the false impression of trying to fix it.
She deviated her eyes to the taxi as she did so. The two figures inside didn't move for a second. Were they trading words, perhaps? Rowie walked towards Vanilla and sat in front of her, sharing her stare to the taxi cab in front of them. She wished the cobblestone fences weren't there so they could see the whole vehicle instead of just its front part through the 6 feet long entrance.
"Do you know who is there, Rowie?" Vanilla asked. "Was Carol expecting any visits?"
