"This is nonsense!" The leader of the Cult of The Ascended Truth yelled, refraining the necrostone between his hands, but the white bulge still hovered in total disobey. "I order you to get down and show yourself. NOW!"

"Hahahahahaha!" The laughter was more macabre than genuinely amused. "Do you think I would obey the leader of a bunch of greedy lunatics, blinded by power?" 

The purplish-black aura of the bulge intensified, and lighting and sparks wrapped the air around it, thundering in anger and resentful aggressivity.

"Patriarch! Step back!" One of his followers yelled and approached him, with his .38 revolver out and pointing to their failed invoking

The other cultists stepped back and got on the stairs that surrounded the circle around the sarcophagus of that octagonal construction, crawling and marching back, but there was no cover where to hide besides Vanilla's concrete fence and two sets of pillars behind the podium.
