Chapter 294: An Angel

Benedict's POV

I wanted to go home to my wife, who was waiting for me, but I couldn't go away from the hospital thinking about my ex, who was there lying on the hospital bed dying. I was walking in the hallways when I heard the code red on the AP system of the hospital, and I suddenly felt nervous. I ran back towards Tanya's room. When I arrived, the doctors and nurses did their best to stabilize her condition, and even if she was having difficulty breathing, I could hear her calling my name.

"Benedict! Please, doctor, I want to see Ben, helped me." She said, and I could feel the pain in my heart as she tried to fight.

"Tanya, you need to rest, don't move." The doctor begged her.

"No, I, I don't don't have time." She said, and she tried to get up from her bed. And I could see how her body trembled in pain, but she endured it just to ask the doctor to see me.

"I only want-ted, Ben-ne -dict." She said as she struggled to speak.
