Chapter 6: Those Sealed Memories of the Greatest Heir II
Flashback~
"Brother! Brother! Stop! you're going to kill Teacher!" April shouted.
Matthew did not listen, though, he kept on casting fire magic to his teacher.
"Stop!" Kiseo shouted. He ran towards his raging son and cast a barrier to surround Matthew.
"Shaile! Take the serum! Hurry! I don't think I can hold him longer!"
Brother was out of control, and I knew he cast an enhancement spell on himself...
Enhance Strength, Enhance Magic, Rage, Enhance Attribute, Enhance Power, Destruction.
All-powerful spells... In just one time. He was incredible but the power was too much for him to handle and it possesses him. I know I could do something but...
"Ethaniel! YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!" Kiseo shouted.
Brother Chen went to me and was shaking me. I was too focused on what's happening with Matthew, and I didn't hear anything from him.
The next thing I knew I was slapped... before I could even realize it, I heard brother Chen. "MATT! PLEASE! PLEASE, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE! THE ONLY ONE!" he stopped there, and I knew what he was talking about... everyone knew that I was the only one capable of helping brother...
"Give me a minute and hold him for that long... I might be able to do it then..."
Enhance Skin Barrier, Enhance Defense, Enhance Rage, Darkness.
I could hear Matthew cast spells in my head again, curse this blood!
This is worst than the last time... this time he was cautious about me... Just who are you?!
"DAD! HIS PREPARED! 1!" Ethaniel shouted to Kiseo.
They both held Matthew... I'm sorry Matthew. "ANCIENT MAGIC! THE HOLY TRUTH SPEAR!" I summoned the spear and started the chant. "Hear thee call, ancient God of Greece, place the raging lion in the cage and heed him, he who has been hurting cannot go further... I pray thee, thou forgive, I give... the greatest power! R-release..." I pointed my hand to Matthew. It took all my energy, but the spear went through Matthew. The greatest holification spell... It tears' any raging emotion and puts one to sleep... It's great, but the pain will last for a year... and it takes all the magical energy one person has...
I fell into the ground. The next thing I saw was April running towards me before everything went black.
End of Flashback~
"Alibaba. I'm sorry... keeping it from you was the greatest sin I've made. Thinking of it terrifies me remembering those days... Haunt me... I remember the pain and it lasted for a year..." Ethan... I remember everything... everything was planned... dad, Kiseo... planned everything... from the assassination to our escape.
"I remember... The seal you placed. it broke I remember everything. Now everything is clearer than water... but something is still wrong... I'm still... I'm still Johnson... Johnson the non-mage..." I said out loud with tears filled with agony.
"Take a rest. Take a rest please brother Chen..." April said to me.
I smiled at her. "I'm fine, Atlita... I need to talk to Ethan for now, can you give us some time?" The others went out till I and Ethan were just left.
"Where are all my books?"
He teared up. "You're really back... did I even mention how much your straightforwardness impress me?" he chuckled, almost tearing up. I gave him the poker face he used to always see.
"Again, where are my books?
"Burned... not a single book was left-"
"Even at least one?" I cut him off.
"There is one... you know where it is now Matthew..." fuck. Of course, I know where! But that's impossible. "It's not, you know that yourself if you someone else could take it... it would be him."
"Fine... 3 years from now. We'll start to find it. How much have I lost?" I asked.
"Everything. No memories of you having those books and neither did anyone other than "him" knows." That's right I guess... I don't remember any pages and that's not like me. I memorize even the smallest details inside a book. I can remember the names, that won't work... I'd be using my memory's memory. A complicated system of mind-erasing. I was known as the most intelligent and fastest reader ever known around the seas. I have a special talent that was dangerous and strong.
"You know what happens next right?" I nodded.
We went out, and I took the sword that Amashla handed me last time. It was her sword during her late 20. It isn't great and would probably not give the best for people who are capable of more.
"Amashla. This is the power of Alibaba. The heir of the throne." Ethan said.
I remembered that we had three names. Jacob the earth wonder or Jacob The Trash Sea, Alibaba the mountain's joy and Matthew, the heir of the throne. He made it sound like Alibaba was an heir of the throne.
I prepared my sword while recalling all the events that had to happen in my life...Graceful Slash. I focused and remembered Kiseo, teaching me about swords and slashes... how to enhance it, to strengthen it, to even sharpen it. Graceful Slash.
I leapt into the boulder and just a second past the boulder turned into sand.
I looked at Amashla and the rest.
"I knew you'd have a better performance but... isn't that going back to original form?"
He was right it had an effect on me. My right arm was aching. I guess this 7 year was too much rest for me and I lost all my capabilities.
Amashla draws her weapon. "Who are you? You feel different. Your aura... you're way too much compared from yesterday Alibaba, you're a monster..."
"Why are you so shocked Amashla. This was the monster you wanted to bring back to life, isn't it? He was known as someone who is honoured around our family. This is way too low compared to the great image he used to be." Ethan said and I saw April crying. I came close to her.
"What's wrong?" I patted her head.
"Is that really you? Chen Matthew?" she whispered to me.
I did not reply but instead just patted her head.
"How about you let those two come out." I knew I felt two more presence.
"WHO ARE YOU?!"
"I'm Matt, from the book Matt's Legacy."
She gasped and took out the greatest weapon she had. The 13th spear of the greatest Spear Man.
"YOU IMPOSTERS!" I figured she wouldn't believe it.
Calius, Cane, Kill.
Oh. It didn't work... I forgot. I don't remember any spells huh. Then I have to stick with the Ancient Beast.
Caribbean Sabertooth. Bear Strength. The Ancient Bird.
This is it. The book I found, ancient beast? I guess, even me without my memories still has a great taste of power. Ancient Beast book is even greater than 70 kinds of my book. Too bad that my condition right now isn't enough for me to bring the true power this book could hold.
I did my stance. Ethan surrendered his hands putting it up as so did April. The other two came down and brought out their weapons. One was a Japanese fan and the other was a pair of hook sword. They stood their stance and prepared.
"We don't have to do this you know," I warned.
"We are from the Mountains! You do not dare to stop the oath we swore our lives through. Great Beings are to be tested by great warriors we won't stand by seeing a threat and would attack no matter the cost! Our lives! The people! Depends on us! Now behold."
"Amshla, the great ancestor who gave her life for this sea! Bring forth the greatest power you hold!" Amashla.
"The power of assassins. Greed strike."
"The sakura leaves fall into the ground... the sakura leaves flies... Sakura Slashes."
"BROTHER CHEN! WATCH OUT!" Atlita shouted.
I knew this was three great known techniques and are very hard to counter, but this is nothing.
"Caribbean Sea." a huge wave of water came running towards the great three attacks and stopped their spells. I stop enhancing the spells I had prepared and thought it would be too great for an impact if I continue and severely injure them. I let them out, The sabertooth spirit came out and ran towards the guy, on the left the great bear, Masha came running towards Amashla, and the bird copied the sakura leaves and sent it flying towards the woman on the right. And of course, I controlled the power on each attack and so they were only lightly wounded.
"You are a threat..." Amashla held her wound on her arm.
"But it seems like you are at your limit," she said then threw her spear towards me. I couldn't evade, my body wouldn't budge... I was... I was at my limit.
"Ice spear!" her sword came flying at me and was just a meter away from me when the ice spear of Ethan stopped it.
"Coward! How dare you interfere?!" she gave deathly glares to Ethan.
"Do you have any idea what you are doing? You are raising your hand to the heir of the throne, you dare look down on the king! You are no warrior! From this point on! Thee shall never be called a legend! Thee shall be release from protection! Thee shall never be granted freedom!" that chant... the chant of royal blood releasing the contract of lower people.
"You can't do that! I'm AMASHLA! YOU ARE NOT AN ACKER!"
"Ethaniel Jadeson Acker, hereby punish this lower being to the pits of hell. Break Chains."
that was the last thing I heard and saw those icing eyes of Ethan. He just banished Amashla from the family. And the other two bowed down.
Everything ended and all went black...
