Chapter 125: Aftermath

(A DECADE LATER)

I opened my eyes when the sun rays hit me. The feeling of waking up every morning is something I have gotten used to once more. The whole incident that took place almost a decade ago remains fresh in my memory to this day. Like a nightmare that you cannot forget but you want to, I have often imagined that the whole incident was nothing but a very long exhaustive dream. But I am forced to believe otherwise every time I see a ghost or Oliver for that matter.

That is correct; I can see the ghosts now. Being someone who was dead once, not everything was same like it used to be when I was alive. I try my best not to interact with the ghosts, but it's hard to do that sometimes. There have been times when some ghosts tried to posses me, of course they didn't succeed cause this body was already deeply attached to a foreign soul which didn't allow any other soul to enter.
