CHAPTER 3
It's been almost a month after I transmigrated here in this mysterious novel, it looks like I don't have any way to come back in my past life. I shouldn't get depressed over something like this and waste my life here thinking of getting back.
Instead, I should try embracing the new life! I'm a noble after all! But no matter what I do, I can't seem to remember anything about my past life except that I'm not from here and I'm inside a story! At least let me know something about my past life!
"Sara, can I have another plate of cookies?"
I asked Sara while I'm munching the last piece of chocolate cookie on the plate beside me. I'm getting my stress off by eating.
What am I doing?
Well...I'm reading books about this world! By the way, the language is not different from my past life or is it just Delie's knowledge? Anyway, I need to have more information about what kind of world I'm living in! What genre? What kind of novel?
Relying on an eight-year-old's knowledge won't really be much of a help. And maybe you know, I can find another way to manifest my gift earlier!
"But young miss, isn't that already your third plate? You'll have no appetite for lunch later"
"That's alright! I can still eat later!"
"But the madam..."
Sara knows that mother doesn't like me snacking between meals and I bet she'll be angry if she knew that I already ate three plates of cookies.
"Don't worry! I won't miss lunch~ besides...mother won't know!"
I confidently said still munching my chocolate cookie. It's not like she'll notice!
"Alright..."
Sara sighed and took the empty plate from me before leaving my room.
"Now, where was I?"
I took a piece of paper from my own desk and a quilt before dipping it with ink and write my life plan on the paper.
'My life after graduation'
-Graduate peacefully
-Show my parents that I'm responsible enough to take my inheritance
-Get the inheritance
-Find a business that I will use to make more money
-Go buy a small land near the borders to build my own oasis
-Live a luxurious life!
-HAVE A LOT OF MONEY
"Hehehehe!"
I cackled while rubbing both of my palms together.
This is good! Perfect~ life plan!
I need to make the most of my life here! I'll be rich!!
"Young miss! Here are your cookies!"
Sara knocks at the door before entering the room and placing the plate of the freshly baked chocolate cookies.
"Yay!!"
I quickly grab a cookie and gave it a big bite.
So good~!
I squealed while I'm slowly savoring the taste of the cookie.
...
Even at lunch, I ate properly like I didn't even ate three plates of cookies earlier. Mother told me that we'll go to the market to buy dresses later so I need to change.
After lunch, Sara went to get me a new purple dress from my wardrobe to change. She helps me dress but this time she didn't put any corset on me. The dress was designed to wear without putting a corset.
Thank goodness! I can finally feel at ease!
That's what I thought...

While putting on the buttons of my dress...
POP!
A sudden sound echoed in my room.
It was one of the button on the back of my dress!
"But madam just bought this a month ago!"
Sara went to pick up the button that had was rolling on the floor.
"I wonder..."
I muttered while looking at the button. I even tilted my head and put my hand on my chin.
'Did the dress shrink?!'
I asked myself.
Nah, I just gained weight...
Did I?
Oh no!
Mother will kill me if she knew!!
"Sara, please don't tell mother about this!"
Or she'll get angry and scold me for hours.
"Don't tell me what?"
I almost jumped in surprise when I heard mother's voice who was behind us with a hand fan on her hand. She looks at me suspiciously.
"M-mother! Since when did you get here?"
I asked nervously. I tried hiding my back since it is the place where my button popped.
"Just now, the door was unlocked"
She replied fanning herself and looking at the door.
"I see...I'm not dressed yet...so-"
"I won't accompany you today since I need to go somewhere"
"I-i-is that so?? Hahaha!"
Stupid! You're too obvious!
"Why do you look so nervous anyway? And the thing that you said that you won't tell me?"
Mother narrowed her eyes and looks directly at me. Her hand fan is covering half of her face.
"Nothing! I'm just a bit nervous about the party because...um..it's my first time!"
I hope she bought my reason.
"Hmm...if you're hiding something, maybe it's not that important...besides I really need to go to my sister's house today for a visit and I'll be back at night, be sure to behave well!"
"Aunt Illiana's house?"
"Yes, apparently she needs me to visit her and talk about something urgently so I'll just leave Sara to go with you"
"Yes, mother!"
"Anyway Sara, don't let her buy anything ridiculous"
"Yes madam"
Mother reminded Sara who nodded and bow to her before she leaves my room.
I let out a sigh of relief before telling Sara to give me a bigger yet a very simple dress. Good thing mother didn't notice!
Sara finally finishes dressing me up with a very simple one and puts a cute matching floppy hat for a finishing touch.
Mother's carriage went out first and told our head butler to manage everything while she's out.
Father is in the empire since the emperor summoned him, he's usually not home often because of it. David is busy with his sword lessons and Dahlia in her violin lessons.
Another carriage transported us to the market after mother left.
I stick out my head in the carriage's window and look outside. I can feel the clean and fresh wind in my face and I close my eyes to feel it more.
"Wow~!"
I joyfully said when I opened my eyes and saw different kinds of shops in the market. A flower shop, a hat shop, restaurants and many more!
"You're acting like it's your first time going out of the manor, young miss!"
Sara giggled when she saw me admiring the shops.
"It's because it's been a while since I'm out!"
It is true, Delie didn't really went outside that often. Unlike commoners, nobles like her tend to order supplies to deliver in their house but mother suggested to go to a boutique and come with me. She also wants to buy a few dresses of her own.
But since mother needs to visit my aunt, Sara and I will be the one to find a dress for the tea party next week.
Our carriage stops on a fancy boutique. Sara said that this boutique's specialty is to make outfits for young nobles like me. Mother likes to buy dresses from here too and is willing to go outside the manor to look at dresses in her own eyes.
"Good day, lovely guests! is there something you're looking for?"
A woman aporoaches us and asked us what kind of dress we are looking for.
"Young miss, pick a dress you fancy"
"Okay...umm...do you have anything that's purple?"
Purple addict lol
"We do have ranges of purple dresses here..."
She guides us to a rack full of beautiful purple dresses. Even though I'm not really into kiddy dresses, these dresses are really beautiful!
"They're all so pretty!"
"Thank you"
The woman smiles at me.
"So young miss? How many are you going to buy?"
Ha? How many?
"Only one"
I told her. She was a bit surprised but just agrees.
Like why do I need to buy a bunch of dresses if I will only go to one party?
Well, Delie likes to shop clothes after all. She always shops with her mother all the time and buys atleast three dresses even without occassions, she only wears those dresses once.
After buying a dress, I decided to go for a yellow one instead. I love purple but I want to try other colors too. Besides, this yellow dress caught my attention!
While we head back to the carriage, I saw a bunch of people looking around a book stall. Looks like it just opened!
"Oh no! I forgot!!"
Sara suddenly exclaimed claiming that she had forgotten something.
"Forgot what?"
"Your floppy hat! It's your favorite! I need to go back!"
"I'll come too"
I was about to go with her when she stopped me.
"No, young miss! Don't worry, I'll be quick so just wait there and don't go anywhere"
I told her I'll come with her but she just told me to go inside the carriage and wait while she goes back to the boutique and get my floppy hat.
I peek outside the window to see a lot of people enjoying the stalls. Should I go there?
I slowly went outside and saw that our coachman is taking a nap.
"Sorry Sara...I'll just take a quick look"
I sneak out and went to the horde of people looking around. I went to the book stall I saw first and see a bunch of historical books there.
I went to pick up some books but all of these books didn't really caught my interest.
It sounds a bit weird since I'm reading a book while I'm inside one as well. Hahaha!
"I finally bought the volume three of 'Pure Love'! My sister will be sooo jealous!"
A teenage girl excitedly said after buying a book she and her friend just picked.
"Best seller?"
I went to the side where they bought the book. There's only one left in here! It looks really popular.
I took the best seller book to read it. What's it about?
I opened the middle part of the book and read a whole page.

"What did you say, Sajan?"
"I said I love you, Lennon!"
Lennon's eyes widen in shock when Sajan confessed his feelings to him.
"Do you really? But...we can't!"
Sajan grabs Lennon's hand to stop him from leaving. He hugs him as soon as he saw Lennon weeping.
"Let me go, Sajan!"
"No, I won't! I love you Lennon!"
"But we are both guys! We can't!"
"I don't care! No matter what, I'll only choose you! I won't marry my fiance! Let's run away Lennon!"
Sajan puts his face closer to Lennon who was in tears. Lennon gave him a smile and hugs him back.
"I love you too...Sajan! But...I'm afraid we still can't! My sister is your fiance and-!"
Sajan suddenly grabs Lennon's face and put his lips into his.

I quickly closed the book. I can't believe what I just read!
This book is about boy's love! I didn't know that this kind of book is so popular here!
"The author of the novel I'm in must really like boy's love so much!"
I said in surprise.

A young girl asked the stall keeper.

I noticed the stall keeper looking at me which made me look at the young girl who is wearing a dark brown hooded robe concealing her face.
"Ummm..."
I can see her green eyes giving me a sharp look. This book is the last one in this shelf, which means she thinks I will buy this last book!
She puts her hood down which reveals her long beautiful red hair. She looks like about my age.
"Can I please buy that book from you?"
She asked me.
"What?"
