Chapter 83: Volume 3 Episode 33: Confrontation and Questions

All of a sudden, a knock was heard from the front door, interrupting his thoughts and bringing him back to reality. Jason entered the living room, and the four had their eyes fixated on the door.

'Did they trace it back to us?'

Lin shook his head. It wouldn't have been possible. They had taken care of everything; cameras, witnesses, fingerprints, magic imprints. Everything had been thought through.

Lin turned to look at Jason, who nodded, and walked towards the door. He moved close, and asked slowly.

"Who is it?"

"Oh! Excuse me for not calling you beforehand. I just wanted to see whether my guests were having a good time or not."

A familiar voice answered almost immediately, and Lin's eyes widened.

'Yani Bahador. Why is he here? Does he suspect me?'

He didn't think Yani had any reason to suspect him other than the fact that the raid coincided with his stay here.
