As Curt left the forest, his mind is calm. He has his doubts and knew that someone from the APE fraternity is behind all of this. But he did not expect that it was really Alan Kane.
He knew that this incident is related to Jenny Mae, but how could he blame her? He would not just accept this insult face down. If that guy really wanted to challenge him, then he would face this challenge head-on.
Returning from outside the city, Curt walks back to the city after a thorough inspection. The soldier was amazed at the herbs he has harvested, and many of them actually did not recognize many of those herbs. They just recorded it as Curt tells them the names of the herbs.
"Wow, the masked man is really proficient in herbs and plants…" one of the soldiers muttered.
"Hey, I knew another guy that's just like that."
"Really? Who?"
"Ahh… that, he seems to have stopped going to the border of the city. He is just an ordinary man thought, and he also carries a huge backpack…"
"Oh, I knew that guy, I also met him once."
After hearing the discussion of the soldier Curt smiles wryly from inside the mask. He also recognized some of the soldiers checking his stuff but did not say anything to them.
After entering, he went back to the shop and began refining the plants and herbs he harvested.

Meanwhile, in another city in the capital city of Phil country, a commotion is happening inside a large room with many screen monitors.
The people inside the large room are wearing a soldier's uniform of camouflage green. And everyone is frantic and busy as they monitor what is happening on the screens.
"Sir, we lost communication with our soldiers near the Homon Island…"
"Sir, our communication center in that island seems to have been destroyed…"
"Look! Look at the screen!" suddenly a soldier said as he pointed on the large screen.
When the soldiers turned their gaze on the screen everyone stopped moving and just gawk at the scene.
On the screen, a huge monster that looks like a giant fish with spider-like legs rose from the ocean. The massive tidal wave it produced as it slow surfaces, actually destroyed the facility and the soldiers stationed on that island.
Although the island facility was protected by a barrier, the barrier is not strong enough to resist the 100 meters tall water. Though this kind of tsunami is not that threatening if it hits a city, but too small normal facilities outside, it is devastating.
But what made everything worst is the appearance of this almost 100 meters tall monster. It was something that Phil country has never experienced before.
"How could this be? That is one enormous beast. If that thing attacks a city, then we might not be able to defend ourselves…" the officer in the room muttered to himself.
"Get me the president…" he suddenly commanded.

Meanwhile, within the Kor city, another day has passed and now it is once again weekends. Curt's life is once again busy as usual and this time he was called to the hospital by Doctor Vince Gale.
Inside an office, Curt sat in front of a table and he was served some hot tea.
"Curt, I'm happy that you came to me at last. The truth is that I wanted to contact you these past few days, but I know that you are in Esper College, so I just waited. However, since it's Saturday, I knew that you are free, so I wanted to thank you for your time…" Vince Gale said while showing a bit of a downcast expression.
"You seem to be having a problem…" Curt could feel that the doctor is troubled by something so he did not beat around the bush and asked.
"Hmmm… Well… You see… I… I encountered something…" he said as he suddenly takes out a folder from his desk and put it in front of Curt.
"This is a case I heard from Doctor Lim. But I hope you can keep it confidential. If it is not an emergency, I would not let you see this case. But Agnes is a bit stressed out lately and I wanted to help her."
Curt hesitated for a moment but then decided to look out of curiosity. He thinks that Doctor Agnes is a good doctor, and if he could help her, then why not?
And so he carefully reads the case file and as he flips the pages, his expression changes a bit. Though he is not familiar with some of the modern medical jargon, he could still recall many of them in the books he has read in the library at school.
In these past few days while in school, he is a frequent visitor of the library. Since Jenny Mae seems to be busy with her school life, he did not bother with her. Plus he is feeling a bit downcast with the progression of their relationship.
However, he did not want to be looking pathetic in front of her, so this time he followed his own pride as a man and waited for them to normally reconcile.
As he reads the reports, he saw the MRI scan and tried to understand the picture. However, he could not as he has not learned how yet.
Sensing his confusion, Vince explained to him everything.
After a while, Curt closes the folder and puts it on the table.
"So? Is the liquid medicine you made able to cure this kind of disease?" Vince Gale asked while craning his neck as if he did not want others to hear his words.
"Hmm… no… this thing is far more complicated than that. I need to see the patient, at least that way; I can assess her situation and create a treatment method."
Upon hearing Curt's words, the eyes of Vince suddenly lit up. When he was about to say something, his office door suddenly opens.
Then a slightly chubby woman wearing a white doctor's coat enters the room.
Upon seeing Curt sitting on the side, she showed a surprised expression. Suddenly, her eyes lit up and walked immediately beside Curt.
"Curt… I… I forgot about you. I think… I think you can help me with this problem." She said as she suddenly sat beside Curt while grabbing his hand.
Curt was startled as he did not expect Doctor Agnes to do this. And so he reluctantly let her hold his hand.
"Umm… Yeah, you see…" Curt said but suddenly stopped.
"Curt… it's my nephew. He… his old condition suddenly worsens these past few days. I don't know what to do… I really like that kid. He is a really kind kid and is very gentle and cute. Last week, he suddenly collapsed when he was in school. His parents sent him to the hospital in Dav city, but until now the doctors could not determine what is wrong with him." Agnes said as she tried to explain.
"I personally went there and tried to see the MRI and the other test results and am also baffled. His condition is normal, but there something in his brain scan that seems to be off."
Upon hearing her words, Curt heaves a deep sigh. If he goes to Dav city today, he could come back tomorrow afternoon. But the transportation would take around 8 hours and the danger is very high.
However, he could not help but be touched by this grieving aunt for her nephew. But of course, he still could not go. Though he pities her, he has no relation to the doctor and her nephew. As an outsider, he could just show empathy and understanding while patting her shoulder.
"I wanted to help, but the distance is too far… and the travel is too dangerous," Curt said with a wry smile.
"No… no, it's too far, but it would not be dangerous. I have been there these past few days. If you come with me, we could take the military stealth ship from Gen City. From there we could cross the mountainous area and arrive in Dav city in just 30 minutes or an hour at most."
Curt thought for a while but did not answer.
"Look, I know you value precious herbs, and also… some mysterious stones, right? I can actually give you some as a mode of payment. Plus I will add 100,000 credits. As long as you can help my nephew, I am willing to pay."
Hearing the words of Doctor Agnes Lim, Curt was a bit tempted, precious herbs and mysterious stones, now she got his attention. How could he let this chance slip by?
So after thinking for a bit, Curt nodded his head and showed a smile.
"I would say that I am tempted and my curiosity is piqued. However, if my conjecture is right while looking at the file and the results of the test, I think we would need to harvest something from those beasts outside. This is just my theory though; I will confirm it after checking the patient." Curt said as he reluctantly agrees.
Hearing the reply of Curt, Doctor Agnes beamed with joy. She suddenly dialed the number of her brother and informed them. She also called Gen city and requested special permission to use the stealth ship.
After everything is in order, the group decided to leave immediately.
Curt called Jenny Mae but was not able to get through, so he just texted her of his destination. He also informed Boss Lan that he would be going somewhere.
After that, Curt, Doctor Gale, Doctor Agnes, and a group of military escorts departed from Kor city and travels towards Gen city which is around 60 km away.
