Checking those that are sent inside the makeshift infirmary of the college gym and training center, Curt did not linger seeing that the people are not hurt that badly.
Instead, he quickly went to the windows and checks the situation outside.
Meanwhile, outside the college gym, some armed men have already retrieved the body of Ale'bo and are quickly retreating while there are many who are coming towards the building while firing their weapons.
Rapid gunshots and RPGs could be seen bombarding the protective barrier of the college gym. The barrier could withstand those huge explosions from the rockets but some bullets could still penetrate the barrier as they are far too many to be stopped.
Jenny Mae and her friends also began to counter-attack against the armed men as they shot out their esper powers. Kathy Dee and Loo Crystal Noah were all surprised to discover that Jenny Mae is not only a wind esper but also a fire esper.
"This is amazing… your powers… they are even stronger than mine…" Loo Crystal said with a pout.
Meanwhile, Kathy did not bother with the two as she suddenly formed five icicles and sent them flying out of the window.
It pierces the body of two armed men who were impetuous enough to suddenly rush towards the building.
Jenny Mae and Loo Crystal look at each other and showed a sheepish smile on their faces. They could see Kathy turning pale upon discovering that she actually killed two people.
However, when Kathy knew of this, her hands suddenly tremble as she was a bit shocked. Though she knew that as an esper, they would be forced to kill a person, it is the first time for her to do so. Before Jenny Mae arrives she was hiding in the corner with some of her classmates.
But when she saw Jenny Mae, her desire to fight was suddenly awakened and she wanted to be of help. She wanted to be like Loo Crystal who was born in a rich family but is still also able to fight against those terrorists.
But now she has experienced killing someone and it was not a very good one. She feels like her stomach would churn and she would throw her guts up.
"Urk…" she gulped as she stopped herself from throwing up.
"Take a deep breath…" Jenny Mae and Loo Crystal said while patting Kathy's back trying to console her.
"I… I didn't want to kill… I… I… just threw those icicles outside to scare them away… Huhu…" Kathy began sobbing while explaining herself subconsciously.
The two on her side heaves a sigh of helplessness and just consoled their friend. However, Kathy suddenly tried to stand up and look outside the window. As soon as she did that, a bullet was fired from a bullet and hit an arm which suddenly hugs her.
At this time, Curt also appears near the window and saw the three who are on the side. When he saw Jenny Mae suddenly hugging her friend, he was a bit surprised. But from his spot, he saw a bullet hitting Jenny Mae's right arm.
His eyes immediately went wide in disbelief and his heart was filled with anxiousness.
"Jenny! I'm sorry… I'm sorry… I just wanted to… I… I…" Kathy panicked upon seeing her friend getting hit by a bullet because of her.
"It's fine… you should get a grip of yourself, Kathy… this is a battlefield. Compassion is a good trait, but you should find the right time for your compassion…" Jenny Mae said with a slight smile on her face while holding the hands of Kathy.
Suddenly, a young man in a soldier's uniform walked near them and squatted beside Jenny Mae. With a quick movement, Curt did not hesitate and immediately stopped the bleeding on her arm.
When Jenny Mae saw Curt she did not react and just let him take care of her wound.
Boom!
Bratatat!
Amidst the explosion and gunfire, Curt calmly dressed the wounds on Jenny Mae's arm after taking out the bullet from her wound.
The three girls look at him with amazement. They were a bit stunned at his fast yet careful movement. Jenny Mae was even astounded as Curt did not even use an anesthetic when taking out the wound and suturing her wound.
It only took him around 5 minutes to do all of it. But for the three girls, the time seems to have stopped.
Ba-dump…
Jenny Mae's heart skipped a beat upon seeing the caring eyes of Curt. A slight arch appears on her lips which she did not notice, but Curt already saw it in the corner of his eyes.
With this, he is sure that what he is doing is working. She seems to even forget the kiss that he gave her before entering the campus.
However, this scene was then interrupted by a loud cracking sound. That sound is the sound of impending doom for the people inside the gym.
Right now, a tall giant is currently punching the barrier protecting the college gym. And each punch it delivers shook the ground.
Curt's eyes suddenly squinted and he immediately runs towards the stairs to the second floor.
The three girls were still a bit stunned but recover upon seeing him leaving.
"Where is he?..."
"Quick, we must leave this place… let's go…" Jenny Mae knew that Curt wanted to do something.
She wanted to follow but she could not leave her two friends, so she stood up and the three quickly walked towards the infirmary.
When Curt was on the second floor, he quickly peeks below him and saw the giant punching the barrier. The teachers and the students tried their best to deter the giant but to no avail.
He did not hesitate and suddenly stood to the side of the wall. Then upon timing his movement, he quickly gathers enough energy in his bullet and quickly moves towards the window. Curt squeezes the trigger of his small rifle, but then something suddenly hits the rifle.
Ting!
The rifle was deflected by a powerful shot and fell to the ground outside. Curt shifted his gaze to the possible direction and saw a sniper lying atop the roof of another building.
"Damn it… I never expected that the terrorist would be this desperate…" he muttered.
He did not hesitate and quickly grab a piece of the metal shard on the ground, then he jumps across the window to the other side and in the middle, gathers a small amount of energy, and flicks the metal shard towards the sniper.
Bang!
A bullet whiz through the air and passes through Curt's left ear barely scratching his ear lobe. But the metal he threw flew like a bullet and hit the left eye of the sniper.
After landing, Curt did not hesitate to take cover at the side of the wall and quickly peek at the sniper on the roof. He could see that the sniper is not moving anymore and blood could be seen pouring down the hole on his left eye.
With a sneer on his face, he quickly jumps down the window.
His action made the armed men a bit stunned. But then some of them still began firing at his falling figure. But the barrier stopped their bullets and those that are able to penetrate the barrier missed their target.
Curt did not hesitate and quickly ran towards the rifle on the ground.
While doing so, he suddenly draws the handgun on his side and began shooting at those armed men which exposed themselves out of their hiding place.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three shots and three bodies fell to the ground dead.
The giant has already noticed Curt and immediately ran towards his location. But it is unable to go through the barrier.
So it began to rampage once again. But before it could break the barrier…
Bang!
Another shot rang out from inside the barrier and everyone saw the giant suddenly falling to the ground on its back with a loud thud.
The figure of Curt could be seen standing while pointing his rifle towards the armed men who have stopped their attacks suddenly.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Without hesitation, Curt began firing at those armed men. Each bullet he releases from his rifle, an armed man would fall to the ground.
Seeing the soldier that looks like the grim reaper, the remaining armed soldier suddenly began retreating.
Curt did not bother to chase after them. He instead approaches the dead armed men and took a rifle on the ground, and then he began striping those armed men of their bullets.
He knew that this is not yet the end and he is still needed somewhere. At least in this place, Jenny Mae would be safe. So he decided to leave and offer his help to the other soldiers.
As he ran away as if chasing those armed men, some of the students and teacher who saw him leaving heaves a sigh of relief. They are really grateful to the young soldier who seems to singlehandedly defeat an army of enemy soldiers.
Meanwhile, on the third floor in a special room where there are monitors watching the scene outside. The school directors and other school leaders saw what happened and feel their bodies relaxing from a state of anxiety.
"Who was that soldier? He was too fierce. How did he kill that giant with only a rifle?" one of the teachers asked with a confused expression on his face.
"I think that soldier is an esper. He might just be a weak esper though, someone who is good at augmentation and strengthening."
As the group of teachers and school directors discusses inside the room, a few students are with them and look at the monitor where the figure of Curt left. With an angry look on his face, Bart Jung gritted his teeth while he clenches his fist into a ball.
"I will find a way to kill you… for the humiliation I have suffered, I will not let this go and will try to get my revenge. Do you think just because you are with the army, you can offend me or my Jung clan? No way… I will find you and kill you…" he thought as his eyes are ablaze with anger.

Meanwhile, Curt arrives near the entrance of the college campus. On his way, he saw many wounded and dead students along with many armed men lying on the ground.
However, he did not stop and help them yet. He just made sure that they would not die and would just return after he made sure that everything is fine at the entrance of the school. As he approaches the entrance, Curt saw a familiar figure.
Among the group of armed men, a man without arms is standing and commanding everyone.
From the movement of the man's mouth, he could read that he is commanding everyone to retreat. When he lip-read the place they are retreating he was a bit stunned.
