Chapter 67: Change

It had been a year. A whole fucking year and he was so tired.

Life as a human was okay for the most part, but when all you do is work, eat, and then wait for your lover or child or even both was something he found frustrating. Those times Little fire were with him, he enjoyed it. It gave him a bit of happiness and excitement than the boring routine. When Eve came… well, his entire being seemed to be ignited by her flame. When both were not there… it was like everything was mundane and dull.

Heading to his apartment with a bag of groceries in hand, he noticed someone waiting for him at his door. The brown hair and green eyes already gave away who it was. His face looked tired and sad, but when those emerald eyes saw him, the angel had a relieved smile on his face.

"Adam," he greeted and the blonde stared at him for a moment.

"Did father sent you to kill me?" The former angel questioned, "Thought it'd be Michael or Raphael."
