Chapter 4: Chapter Four- The Start of the Rivalry
Now, it is period five, my next class is ELA but Kenneth has AP math next. I knew that he might meet Kelly while he is in there but I didn't want to feel jealous.
Kenneth knocked on Mrs. Flynn's door. Mrs. Flynn looked over at the door and saw Kenneth standing there. She asked Kenneth, "Hello there young man, how can I help you?" She looked at the attendance and saw that there was a new student on it. She said, "Ah, you must be the new transfer student Kenneth Zhou."
"That is correct, I am Kenneth Zhou," he said. When Kelly lifted her head she saw Kenneth, she went all red. She couldn't believe that Kenneth was going to be in her class.
Mrs. Flynn said, "Okay Kenneth, you can sit next to Lily." If Kenneth was going to sit next to Lily, then that means he will be behind me. Kelly was so happy; Kenneth walked up to and said, "Hey Kelly, I just met your sister in science. She was so funny when I made her angry, she was so cute." She was angry because Kenneth was talking about Teresa.
Kelly said, "Do you like my sister?"
"Maybe, I don't know, I might have feelings for your sister but we just met. Maybe my heart is making a mistake."
Kenneth's face turned red, he was blushing. At that moment, Kelly knew that Kenneth, the boy that she has a crush on, has fallen in love with her sister.
Her heart started to hurt but she didn't want to give up that easily, she wanted Kenneth to be hers and hers alone.
"Well, why don't I help set you up with my sister? She would be glad." "You don't have to do that, I will do it myself."
"It is okay, she would be happy if I help others."
"Okay, if you insist."
With that, Kelly was happy; in her mind, she had other plans.
At lunch, Kelly came up to me and said, "I have a surprise for you, you will be glad that I did you this favor." I was confused.
She said, "I set you up with Kenneth. Hope you will accept this offer, if you don't he will be sad."
I didn't understand why Kelly was doing this but I was happy.
I said, "It is okay I don't need to see Kenneth because I do not like him so there would be no point." Kelly knew that this was what I was going to say.
I had something to ask Kelly too, I said, "How do you like a guy who is a stalker and is annoying? I don't understand why you and all the other girls in our class like him. I can see that he is cute and all, but he has no good quality besides being smart."
The next day, just as she planned, Kelly went to meet Kenneth in Teresa's place "Hey Teresa, what's up?" Kelly turned around and saw Kenneth all dressed up.
"Hey Kenneth, I'm glad you invited me to hang." Kelly kept on moving around nervously because she thinks that he might find out that she is not Teresa.
Kenneth said with a flushed face, "It was nothing really."
"I am glad that you had accepted my invite, but I would have thought that you wouldn't have come."
"I came because I had nothing else to do today and my sister Kelly kept on pushing me."
Kenneth looked her right in the face, Kelly started to turn red.
"Hey Teresa, are you sick? Your face is very red. You have been acting very weird today, is something wrong?"
She said, "Nothing's wrong, I guess all of the excitement got to me. Let's just forget about this and go somewhere like a cafe."
He raised an eyebrow and said, "Okay, if you say so." Kelly started to panic because Kenneth was almost suspicious of her. They both went to the nearest cafe and chatted for a while.
When they were talking, Teresa walked into the cafe. Kelly didn't notice at first because she was dazed by Kenneth. When Kenneth noticed who he thought was Kelly, he started getting confused.
He said, "Hey Kelly, what are you doing in the cafe?" Teresa turned around in surprise. Teresa said, "I am Teresa, not Kelly. Besides, why are you here with Kelly? I thought you invited me but I gave up the offer." That was when Kelly came back to us. When she noticed Teresa, she started panicking again. In her head, she was saying "Why is Teresa here? Now that she is here my plans have been foiled."
Kenneth turned to Kelly and asked, "Why did you trick me into thinking you were Teresa?" Kelly said, "I did this because you would only talk about her, I wanted you to be all mine, I like you, Kenneth. That is why I did this." Kenneth and I both had a shocked expression. I was surprised that Kelly had guts to tell Kenneth that she likes him. Now both of the girls' hearts are in rage.
