Chapter 126: Let's make pancakes

"Mom?" 

He saw Emma standing in front of him as he came out of Isabella's room. She had an unreadable expression on her face. 

"You can come home for her but not for me?" 

He saw pain and vulnerability in her eyes. 

"Mom...I…" He was lost for words. It was the first normal conversation in between them in years and at the point where nothing was normal. 

"What? What Xavier?" She lost her calm composure and walked closer to him grabbing him from his shirt. "You still blame me for everything? Would you side with your father too? Who am I? What am I to you people? An emotionless toy? A…" She couldn't continue her rant as he pulled her against his chest, folding his arms tightly around her body. 

"Forgive me mom," His eyes started filling up with tears which held frustration, pain and longing for years.
