2744 Unexpected Stone
After over 7 hours Shi Feng and his team didn't find anything too valuable, only getting a few rare materials and a couple treasure chest fine gold rank or below. The team killed monster after monster and they suddenly made it to a temple. The jelly like man became more solid that even they had trouble moving a little.
"What is this placed, even with the magic arrays effects the mana here is the most powerful I've ever felt" Shadow Sword commented.
"Let's enter and see what's inside" Ye Wuman said.
The team agreed and entered the temple and when they did they saw giant statues of different monsters, and at the end of the hall four serpent like giant statues swirled around almost as if they were guarding the gate that was there.
"Guild leader will these statues attack us?' Turtle dove asked. The statues felt like tier 5 creatures and powerful ones at that.
"No they shouldn't. They must be here to deter monsters from entering the temple, we should be safe." Shi Feng said. He could tell that this temple was special as it is the only building structure in this dimension. As the team went deeper into the temple they entered into a hall. There they saw a 40 meter tall beast. It had the body of a tiger, head of a lion, three pairs of legs, one pair looking like it came from a panther, the other from a wolf, and the last from a bear. The beast had eagle wings on its back and a snake for a tail. The aura this creature unleashed was frightening and would make even top tier experts freeze up. The group was stunned, this was a chimera. While chimeras aren't as strong as dragons they are still a peak race in God's Domain and every chimera is unique. Some are faster while some may be physically stronger, others may be more magically attuned then other chimeras. But one thing is for sure all chimeras are difficult to deal, normally requiring the main force of a superpower and a lot of sacrifices. This chimera was sleeping and guarding something on a five foot pedestal covered by a red lid.
"Guild leader, are we going to raid that thing? I think we should call the main force here" Alluring Summer said to Shi Feng. Fighting a chimera with just the ten of them would be too difficult and they can't use tools like the Bible of darkness and other summoning scrolls in this dimension.

"Yes!" Shi Feng said hurriedly he is excited what kind of items would garner a chimera to guard it, but that excitement left his face when he saw the load time. It was one minute. When the chimera noticed Shi Feng activated the pedestal it went berserk ignoring the others and making a mad dash for Shi Feng.
Shi Feng gave the monster a sneer, "don't think I'm afraid to fight you overgrown cat abomination."
Shi Feng then activated heavenly dragon power skyrocketing his attributes and used Elemental Requiem. When his ten doppelgangers appeared they activated blade liberation and went straight for the enraged beast. This chimera had excellent mana control so it's skills and spells could overwhelm Shi Feng's doppelgangers even though its attributes were slightly higher than theirs.
"Change of plans guys, try to cause as much damage to it as possible for a minute!"
Shi Feng said , he didn't expect it will take so long to activate the pedestal.
The group did as he said with the two MTs activating their berserk skill and tanking the chimera head on while everyone started using control skills and assaulting its weak spots slowing it down. When less the five seconds were left the chimera went crazy and unleashed a scream that shook everyone back. It's body started to get smaller but golden flames appeared on its body. It then turned into a blazing golden ball of fire as it charged for Shi Feng.
"It's actually using it's specious move so soon!" Shi Feng was surprised, all peak and apex races in Gods Domain have their very own special moves, a dragon's breath attack being one such example. For the chimera race it is the life meteor, where they sacrifice some of their life force and turn it to golden flames and tackle their opponents. Because of the sacrifice of hp the move rivals a dragon breath in power and has greater utility since it could be used for a long period of time and gets stronger when the flames kill something.
The worst part is invulnerability skills don't work on it. Shi Feng activated void shield and then blade domain creating a galaxy of stars around him. Sword orbit only held back the chimera for two seconds and broke through. When it was about to hit Shi Feng he did light shadow trying to push back the beast. Light shadow only slowed it down but the pedestals activation was complete and Shi Feng took the one item in there but not even a quarter of a second passed by till the chimera was right in front of Shi Feng and a huge explosion happened.
"Guild leader!" Everyone screamed.
"What are you all screaming for, get in the portal before it figures out I'm not dead."
Shi Feng appeared behind them with a spatial gate open. They all did as he said and jumped in leaving a very angry chimera.
The spatial gate took them to where the training was being held.
"Guild leader what if that monster chases us over here?" Blacki asked.
"Don't worry, while I was out of the temple I set up a magic barrier. It even required mana stones to make. That chimera won't be escaping anytime soon and even if it did it can't handle over 2000 people right." Shi Feng said and calmed his worried teammates, but he suddenly got a system notification.
System: You have taken the source of power for the lucid world. World will collapse in three weeks.
"What, I took the power source."
Shi Feng didn't even know what he got from that pedestal as he was on a hurry but this really messed up his plans. He wanted to monopolize this dimension and train an army of refinement realm experts but now that can't be done. He went to Snow
"Snow, prioritize those with potential and provide them with nutrient fluids to reach the void realm."
Right now peak experts are more important than refinement and flowing water realm experts. It's possible for non refinement realm experts to beat refinement and flowing water realm experts but defeating a void realm expert is extremely difficult even if that. And Shi Feng is of the belief of quality over quantity, every void realm experts is a potential tier 5 powerhouse in the guild which is much more useful than thirty tier 4 experts.
Shi Feng then looked in his bag for what he got and suddenly he didn't feel so bad for losing this awesome training ground.
In his bag space was a piece of the philosopher's stone.
