Chapter 40: Preparations
*5 Months Later*
Jack's POV
It was the evening before Maggie's birthday and I'd already told everyone what I wanted to do for her. We booked Maggie's favourite club, so that it'd be just the boys, Rickey, Denzel, Bailey, Zoe, Arden, Alfie, Maggie of course and some special guests that'll be revealed later.
Our plan was to leave the flat at 11:15, we'd get there by midnight, (Maggie's actual birthday) then it'd really be time to party. Everyone except Conor and Josh were supposed to meet us there, rather than crowding the flat here then going. And the special guests were supposed to be 'fashionably late' as per my request. It was only 7:00 in the evening, so we had some time to kill.
"Do we have everything prepared and ready to go?" I ask Conor.
"Yes, we have the Cake, the DJ, balloons, and everyone confirmed that they're coming." He answers.
I just want this to be perfect for her
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Maggie walk in.
"Ello boys, how's it goin'?" She asks, ruffling my hair.
"Horrible now that you've ruined my hair." I scold.
"You make more of a fuss than me." She says with a laugh.
"Debatable." Conor shrugs.

Maggie's POV
I grabbed a bag of crisps, sat down and turned the TV on. I was so excited for tonight, that I couldn't stop smiling. Even thought the boys only told me that it's going to be a surprise, I was still excited.
"Why're you smiling so much?" Conor asks.
"Why do you think?" I ask, giving him the 'Are you stupid' look. He rolled his eyes and sat next to me.
"I'm so excited." I squeal.
"I can tell. You can't even sit still." Jack says, pointing towards the couch.
Yeah, whatever
"Can you give me a clue of what my surprise is?" I ask.
"It involves a party." Jack says in a vague manner.
"That doesn't help me, whatsoever." I turn my head in his direction.
"Exactly." Conor smiles and pats my head. I threw some crisps at him which caused Jack to laugh.
"Don't laugh. You might be next." I say, looking Jack dead in the eyes.
"Oh, she's doing it again." Conor says.
"Doing what again?" I ask, looking from Jack to Conor.
"You're using your death stare." Jack explains as if I was supposed to know what he fuck he was talking about. I look at him in sheer confusion.
"Whenever you get mad, and you stare at one of us, we call it your death stare." Conor responds with a shrug, and snatches the remote out of my hand.
Why do I live with these boys again?
I get up and walk to my room and turn on some music. I start singing and dancing to my favourite songs. I was so lost in the music that I didn't notice Jack until he turned the music off.
"Hey!" I pout.
"I didn't know you could sing." He smirks.
Oh Lord,
"That's because you never pay attention when I sing in the car." I retort.
"Maybe you can sing at your party tonight." He says, planting a kiss on my chin.
"Maybe I will." I smile with confidence. Jack gives me a kiss and walks back out. I text everyone in the group chat.

Everyone said their goodbyes and I shut my phone off. I was about to get up to get dressed when I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist and pick me up.
"AAAAAH! NO! HELP!" I scream.
"Jesus! It's just me." Jack says.
"Oh, well then ew." I snicker. Jack drops me on the bed and hovers over me.
"Hi there." I say.
"What was that conversation about?" He asks.
"I don't know, you tell me."
"I think you were just trying to wind me up."
"Duh, don't I always do that?"
He laughs and looks into my eyes, as I do the same.
"Is it true that you think I do t turn you on?"
"Pff, yes it is." I say, trying to wiggle out from under Jack. Before I could, he pinned my wrists down on the bed.
"Well, I might just have to prove you wrong princess." He says, starting to place kisses on my neck.
"Ugh, don't do this to me now."
"Why not?"
"It's annoying."
"Annoying or arousing." He smirks against my skin.
"Fuck off, I need to get ready." I say, struggling to get up.
"I think that can wait."
The truth was, Jack was turning me on. I just didn't want his to run it in my face. Everything was fine until he kissed my sweet spot. I let out a moan.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT. COME ON MAGGIE.
"Was that a moan I heard princess?"
"Nope. I was just clearing my throat." I lie.
"Mhm."
He moved his lips back to the same spot. I felt goosebumps start to form as he bit at my skin.
"Jack,"
"Yes princess?"
"You win." I admit. Jack smirks and lets go of me. I walk into my bathroom and look in the mirror. I had a dark purple love bite on my neck.
Fuck you Jack
I hear footsteps walk into the room.
Great. Just what I need.
"I win, do I?"
You know what? Fuck this, I'm giving him the silent treatment.
I didn't say anything and just carried on to do my makeup. Yes, I do my makeup before getting dressed.
"Princess?" He asks. I don't respond, I just put my eyeliner on. I see him looking at me through my mirror.
"I'm sorry."
Damn right, you better be!
I still don't say anything and reach for my mascara.
I was putting it on my left eye when Jack grabbed onto one of my arms and turned me around. It was so sudden that I jabbed my eye with the mascara. Jack was frozen in place and I felt hot tears coming, but I held them back.
"Maggie? I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" He asks.
"You just made me jab my eye with mascara. Of course I'm not! GET OUT!" I shout, pointing to the door.
I love it when my eye stings like a bitch. Note the sarcasm.
"I'm sorry." Jack says under his breath, before turning and leaving.
