(Y/N) woke up around seven in the morning. She had slept so well that night, after helping Mr. Joestar get all the futons ready, when Mrs. Kujo had told him so. The girl noticed that the old man wasn't used to Japan's traditions, so she wanted to make it easier to him. After all, she was sleeping there as well and she couldn't let an old man like him do it for her.
Not long after waking up, the girl got dressed back into her school uniform, not having anything else there to dress up into. (Y/N) fixed her hair with her bare hands, just so it was not that noticeable. She got out of her room when she heard Jotaro's grandfather's voice outside. The girl hurried to pick up the futon, then put it aside, only to great Mr. Joestar with the casual "good morning".
The man seemed sleepy and that made the girl laugh slightly. "(Y/N), have you seen my daughter? Holly? I can't find my clothes and these are Jotaro's pants!" the old man groaned. He showed her the black pair of pants, from Jotaro's usual school uniform.
She covered her mouth with her hand, wheezing. (Y/N's) cheeks got a little bit flushed, but it was barely noticeable, so there was nothing she should've worried about.
For a second, she thought about pranking Jotaro, by hiding his pants, but she then realized that Jotaro probably had more than a single pair inside his closet. Besides that, he was still Jotaro, and if (Y/N) was staying over night at his house, that didn't mean they were friends. Letting the idea leave her head, she continued the conversation with the tired old man.
In the meantime, Jotaro got all ready to go to school as well. Something seemed weird though. "I'm going to school." he said opening the front door. There was no sign of his mother. The student got used to her kissing his cheek every morning before school, but she was nowhere to be seen. With a short and quiet sigh, he got out of the house, carrying his bag.
When they all got into the kitchen, they were surprised in the worst way possible. Avdol was holding Mrs. Holly's limp body, kneeling on the floor. They all watched them terrified, as some kind of spiky haulm crawled on the woman's back.
"A Stand..." the old man whispered in horror. "My daughter has a Stand?" his voice was full of concern and worry for Holly.
In an act of fury, he shoved (Y/N) to the side, grabbing Jotaro by his shirt and lifting him up. The boy was slammed into the wall, but not as hard as it could've hurt him. The girl shrieked, at the bulky man's reaction.
"Mr. Joestar, please!" she asked grabbing his pajama sleeve.
He didn't listen to her. The old bulky man groaned loudly, before his voice faded into a quiet sob. (Y/N) was confused, but was trying to understand his pain as well. Jotaro kept a straight face.
"My worst fear has come true..." he sobbed. "My girl... She has a Stand..."
The small girl put her hand on his shoulder, patting him. She then whispered softly to him. "It's alright to be angry, Mr. Joestar, but please let Jotaro go..."
Sighing loudly, he let go of the student, looking at (Y/N) with the eyes full of tears. He hugged her small body tightly, keeping sobbing. The girl was surprised at first, but then she understood how bad he must've felt, so she hugged him back. "I knew my daughter was not capable of resisting Dio's curse..." he said painfully.
Mr. Joestar was taken off (Y/N) by Jotaro's strong arm. Seeing his frowning look, the girl flinched, thinking that he was going to punch the old man in the face or something. Instead, the boy spoke with his usual strong voice. "What can we do? Tell me!" His ocean eyes were filled with fire. He wanted to help and revenge his beloved mother.
Once again, (Y/N's) heart trembled when she realized that, even if he didn't treat his mother as right as he should have, Jotaro still cared so much for her.
'Maybe he's not that bad, after all...' she thought, but her thoughts were cut by Mr. Joestar's now low voice.
"The only thing we can do is going after Dio to kill him and break the curse..." he looked Jotaro in the eyes, the boy's right eyebrow twitching.
A menacing atmosphere fell between the five.
A few minutes later, it all got changed. While the others we're taking care of finding where Dio was hiding, (Y/N) stayed to take care of Mrs. Kujo. All of sudden, she remembered that she hadn't seen Kakyoin since the other day. She was a bit worried, but she decided that Jotaro's mother needed her attention more than that guy did. The girl also knew she should've gone home already, so her mother wouldn't worry, but even if she got grounded, at least she knew Holly was alright.
Her eyes widened, when the woman started shifting into her futon. Jotaro was standing behind her. (Y/N) turned her head to him, ready to ask him to bring some water, but she didn't have to. The boy raised his hand and walked outside, already knowing what he had to do. The girl sighed, a bit embarrassed by his reaction.
Holly Kujo opened her eyes slightly, being greeted by (Y/N) with a hot towel, putting it on her forehead. Avdol had already left the room, so Mr. Joestar remained the only one to notice his daughter's new condition.
"Holly!" he exclaimed, coming next to his daughter.
He took care of her, helping her wash her teeth and eat. When Jotaro finally came back with the water, Mrs. Kujo wanted to get up from the futon to make some food. She was eventually stopped by the boy's voice.
"Freeze! Stay in bad!" he yelled. As (Y/N) shrieked slightly, the woman's eyes got bigger, worried. When Jotaro realized how it must've sounded like, he backed away one step, placed his cap over his eyes, then tried to fix the situation. "I mean... You should take it easy..." he said almost whispering. He was probably embarrassed.
"You are probably right." Holly smiled. "You're all so nice to me when I'm sick..." she giggled. "Maybe a little cold once in a while isn't so bad..."
(Y/N) gasped as the woman fell numb, back into her futon. "Mrs. Kujo!" The girl checked her temperature. She was still hot. (Y/N) put back the towel on the woman's forehead before getting up.
The old man got up as well. "She was acting fine, so we wouldn't have worry..."
"That means..." the girl whispered.
"That means she knows about her Stand."
She looked down at the woman before her. (Y/N) took a small glance at Jotaro, seeing a small sparkle of worry in his eyes.
Luckily, both Avdol and Kakyoin made their appearance, cutting off the already awkward atmosphere. After showing the others what he had found about the fly Jotaro's Stando had drawn earlier, he told them that that was the thing busting Dio's hideout. It was a Nile Tsetse Fly, found only around Nile, in Egypt. Hearing about Dio still being in Egypt, Kakyoin finally spoke.
"I was there three months ago." he said claiming everyone's attention.
He told them how he had been there with his family, when Dio had embedded the flesh bud inside his head. Out of nowhere, Kakyoin offered himself to come alongside the others to Egypt, to find Dio.
(Y/N) was staying quietly behind the men. She was confused, but she knew she couldn't just stay there and do nothing. She was afraid, but all fears must've been overcome. With a loud, confident voice, she spoke to the others.
"I'm coming as well." A moment of silence followed. All of her confidence was cut off by, of course, Jotaro.
"No, you're not." he simply said turning his back on her.
"What? Why not?!" she asked. How could he tell her if she was allowed to come or not? 'Bullshit!' she thought. That was it. (Y/N) was done with his bullshit, and she was not gonna let him have it his way, again.
"You'll only gonna hold us back."
"How can you know that?" her voice was becoming stronger and angrier. "I could heal your wounds!"
Jotaro turned around to face her. He was getting pissed off, but, somehow, his furious face wasn't scaring (Y/N) at all. "You said it yourself: it takes a lot of energy to heal a big wound! Do you think we'll only get scratches or some shit?" The boy leaned down to her, staring into her (E/C) eyes.
"Yes, Jotaro, it takes energy and I'm willing to give it all away to you guys!" She had a thought for a moment. Without thinking she bursted. "Is it because I'm a girl?!" she almost shouted, looking him in the eye.
Their faces were two inches apart. They were glaring at eachother. The others stayed outside their fight, knowing that it had nothing to do with them.
"Yes, it is because you are a girl! A fucking annoying one!" Jotaro responded.
(Y/N) laughed sarcastically. "An 'annoying bitch' I guess? It that how you call all the girls around you?" She didn't want to show it, but the words that were coming out of her mouth were actually hurting her.
"I've never called you a bitch!" he replied, seeming offended.
"That is only because I've never stayed around you!" (Y/N) sighed. Talking to that guy was like talking to a wall. She spoke with calm voice, trying not to snap at him. "Look, Jotaro, I don't want to come with you to Egypt because I don't have anything else to do. I actually have a lot of problems to help my mother with, and yet..."
"Then go help your mother!" the boy's tone hadn't changed.
"I am not done." she hissed, making him back away a bit. His attitude purely made her want to punch him in the face, but she knew she couldn't. "I am here, right now, to help you save your mother, who has to deal with her 'delinquent son', who calls her a bitch everytime she 'annoys' him, every single day!" she told him, gesticulating the comas with her fingers, when she had to. (Y/N) had always been smart enough to know when it was time to stop, but it looks like that wasn't the case.
The men witnessing the fight had their mouths wide open. Was that even real? A small, usually quiet girl, taking a stand against Jotaro? They couldn't belive what was happening in front of their eyes.
Without letting the student cut her sentence off again, (Y/N) continued. She was speaking quietly, disappointment could be heard in her voice. "You're no God, Jotaro; you're actually far from that. I've always feared you, I've kept my distance from you, but now..." The girl looked away for a second, then turned her eyes facing his confused look. "I'm afraid my fear for you is slowly turning into disgust."
With that, she left his sight, turning around to face the others. "Mr. Joestar, please trust me on this..." she begged looking down at the ground, embarrassed about the conversation she had had with Jotaro. The old man nodded with a serious face, making (Y/N) smile. "Thank you! You won't regret this!"
After telling them that she had to go home and leave a note for her mother before leaving, the girl walked out of the room, but not before taking one last glance at Jotaro, who was leaning towards a wall with his back, his cap covering his eyes, as usual.
When no-one could see her anymore, (Y/N) stopped and took a deep breath, to calm herself down. Her limbs were trembling and she felt like she couldn't stand on her legs anymore. 'What the fuck have I done?' she asked herself starting to walk again. The girl covered her mouth with one hand as she couldn't help but chuckle of fear. Had she just continuously insulted Jotaro for his punky behavior? Yes she had. Was she regretting it? Yes she was.
However, it was what it was. There was no going back and knowing that she had to go on a trip to Egypt with Jotaro, made (Y/N) feel sick.
When she got home, the door was unlocked. That meant her mother had finally got home. Happy she could see her mother one last time before leaving, she walked into the house. Expecting her mother to sleep, after what it seemed like a rough work night for the woman, (Y/N) went to check her room. Sighing in relief when she saw her mother in her bed, the girl went to her room, to take some things she might've needed. She grabbed a few pieces of clothes, then put them inside a small bag, along with her cigarette pack.
When she was done, she went into the kitchen, took a pencil and a piece of paper and started writing on it.
"Dear mom,
I have to go on a trip with the Kujo family, to find the cure for Holly Kujo's flu. I have my own reasons for going with them, but I don't know when I'll come back.
Please don't worry, I promise I will be back as soon as possible. I might not be able to call you. If dad comes home while I'm away, tell him that I miss him.
You might not understand the situation just yet, but please trust me on this one.
Yours, (Y/N)."
Putting the note on the table, the girl took her bag, lit up a cigarette and got out of the house. (Y/N) looked at her home one last time, before turning around and starting to walk away. She knew she might've not been coming back, but it was for a good cause. She threw away the smoked cigarette butt.
'Farewell, mom...' she thought for the last time before arriving back at the Kujo house and hitting the road.
