Chapter 455: The Bahamas

Morvena screamed inside Leena's head. 'I can't hold anymore, Leena.' And it was all that took Leena to close the chat session. The only power source emitting the little light to keep her sanity in check was shut down by one click, turning the room into pitch blackness.

Her fear of darkness paled compared to the terror of getting caught by guards, or worse, Enger. Relying on the wisdom of her touch, Leena placed her hands on the walls. Like a blind man at an orgy, slowly but carefully, feeling her way through, she climbed down the stairs and walked to the one floor below her. 

She could hear the whispers of guards as she walked. The moment Leena held the doorknob to open the door, it was unlocked from the other end. To make the matter worse, the whole palace lit up.

Feeling nothing but cold terror, her hands went cold and clammy as she watched Enger standing in front of her.
