Topher recalled the sight that he had seen earlier at the St. Claire mansion.

While the appearance of the Prince walking out while holding Miss Yvonne's hand surely was shocking to him, it was the fact that she had done so in her home clothes that startled him the most.

They lived in a conservative society where a certain set of etiquettes needed to be upheld when welcoming and entertaining guests.

One such rule was to always appear our best when an outsider entered our home.

However, this was not what he had witnessed earlier today as Yvonne St. Claire had casually walked out of her home while still dressed in thin clothing which was meant to be worn indoors.

If that wasn't all, she had done so when the Prince, whose appearance came as a surprise to them, was walking right next to her.

Therefore, the realization that she had been entertaining a member of the Royal family in such clothing was all the more baffling to him.
