Chapter 10: nine
Straight A's. This would've been something she'd be over the moon for. "Damn, she's changing you even when she's gone." Chenle comments, snickering.
Oh no. She's not the one changing me; I'm changing myself. For her.
I became that one straight A student who just kept of reviewing; I finally saw the point of her nagging. "Dude, competition starts in a few minutes." I nod along; yes, I kept going with extracurriculars.
"Is this enough growth?" I muttered and immediately shook my head.
With the things I've fixed about myself came acknowledgement; no longer from others but from myself. Who knew, huh?
What about her, though? Is she okay? Is she happy? Can she ever forgive me someday?
