Chapter 1: Healing Hearts 01
On a rainy evening on a mountain road surrounded by forest. An old lemon of a car losses traction around a sharp curve crashing into a slick black sports car. The impact kills the driver of the old beater and cuts the throat of the passenger giving her a concussion. The driver of the sports car crushes his ribs and breaks his left leg. He struggles to get out of his car and limps over to the other car seeing the girl, he quickly checks to see if either passenger has a pulse finding seeing she's alive he lifts her out. The man rips his sleeve and uses it to slow her bleeding, as he does he calls for an ambulance.
The girl wakes in a hospital bed unable to move her head she tries to cry out only for a squeak of a voice to come out. This worries she begins to panic trying to scream over and over for nothing to come out, she eventually breaks out crying. The sniffling wakes the man and he pulls back the divider and starts to talk trying to calm her. He tries to sit up finding his foot hanging in a cast. "That accident was worse than I thought it was; hey are you doing ok over there?". "What's your name?" she tries to answer only for whimpers to come out this causes her to cry harder. "I'm sorry hey how about this can you raise your hand?" she does. "Ok good raise your hand if the answer is yes ok." she raises her hand. He smiles "Is your head, ok you hit it pretty hard?" the hand goes up " Good I'm glad it doesn't hurt". "Do you remember last night?" her hand stays down "I'm sorry but the driver of your car he didn't make it." He says in a grim tone. She breaks out in whimpers and cries of pain "I'm sorry I couldn't save him". He lifts his leg gritting his teeth removing it from the lift, he sits up with an explosion of pain in his ribs tears roll down his cheeks; he stands and takes a step over to her bedside, he places his hand on her shoulder and asks "Was he your father?" she raises her hand. He kneels down " I'm so sorry I couldn't stop in time I'm sorry so sorry" she reaches for her shoulder and grabs his hand softly, he looks up her head hadn't moved but her eyes were on him, she reaches for his face and wipes his tears. she points back at his's bed and then at him. He nods stands back up wheezing and lays back in bed. A nurse comes in "Aldrich and Myu I'm glad your both awake".
Three young women are talking in the hospital lobby, they request to know Myu's room for a visit. "Room number 137 first floor on your left." "Thank you.". Back in the room "Are you feeling better today?" her hand raises, Aldrich, smiles "That's good to know.". (Knock knock knock) The door opens and one girl sticks her head in "Is she awake?" a voice in the hallway mutters, " ya" the three walk-ins. "Myu you had us so worried are you ok?" Myu raises her hand... "Are you upset?" the girl's expression looks sad "why aren't you answering?" Myu looks on with a sad look in her eyes wanting to tear up "she can't speak right now the accident injured her throat, when she raises her hand she's saying yes.". The girls look at Aldrich as he lays back relaxing with a sense of disgust, they turn back to Myu and begin to talk with their friend. "The graduation ceremony was held everybody missed you, they wished you a speedy recovery." Myu smiles and looks away, the girls continued to chat and ask questions, Aldrich noticed Myu's smile slowly go away and a grave look of sadness come out. Myu smiles a little and waves at her leaving friends, "Hey are you doing alright you looked so sad." Myu adjusts her blanket looking away from Aldrich pulling her covers over her head, she started to shake holding in her sobs. Aldrich starts humming a calm melody and lays back, he keeps humming until Myu stops shaking and becomes quiet. Aldrich glances over and sees Myu peacefully asleep he smiles and follows.
"I hope you are not afraid of needles!" as the nurse preps for a blood test. Aldrich looks at the needle and turns pale, Myu sees him and giggles. "oh don't be a baby the young lady didn't even flinch." "Well, that's her problem its normal to be scared of needles.". The nurse walks out as Aldrich rubs his arm, Myu smiles towards Aldrich "It's not funny it really hurt." Myu calms down wiping away tears. "I'm glad that your moods has gotten better." Aldrich notices a TV on the wall and starts looking for the remote, He sees in sitting on the cabinets between the beds. "Hey, Myu are you able to stand?". Myu starts sitting up moving slowly and being cautious when Myu stops to look at her legs "what's wrong Myu?" ... "Do your legs hurt? Is it your neck?" Aldrich squirms as Myu doesn't answer. Myu's legs slowly move off the bed as she tries to stand up. Myu's legs start shaking as she struggles to stand, Myu grabs the counter and pulls herself off the bed "Myu don't push yourself too hard it's ok the remotes not important!" Myu grabs the remote and tosses it to Aldrich. "Please sit down and rest." Myu stumbles back and sits down "Are you ok?" Myu raises her hand and Aldrich calms down "I'm sorry I didn't know." Myu waves her hand back and forth. "raise your hand if I find a channel you like." Aldrich begins flipping channels, Myu's hand shoots up "Huh this?" Myu points down and Aldrich goes back and stops on a kid's cartoon. Aldrich looks over and Myu's eyes are fixated on the TV, he smiles and sets the remote down and watches along.
