Chapter 59: Aerial rescue training.
Hello again sabaku here coming to you live from Ryujin bridge in ibaraki prefecture. Today we have some students performing aerial rescue training because UA is daddy big bucks. Well that's enough sarcasm, two weeks passed by and now we are training at the revamped Ryujin suspension bridge that UA purchased and redecorated.
Today we are learning how to handle aerial rescue like people falling off a ledge, suicide jumpers, aircraft mishaps and similar events. Unsurprisingly the suicide rate in japan is monsterously high. There are many reasons for this such as how strict the environment can be, people get crushed under pressure from work or social aspects, quirkless people or villainous quirk users that "can't take it anymore" and many more reasons. So nezu designed this place to those types of situations.
You would think that these scenarios would be troubling for me or Mina but honestly not really. She's a slimy Spider-Man and I'm basically a sand bag so I can catch a lot of people and distribute the kinetic energy from the fall thanks to my control. So when one of the dummies jumps I just catch it gently or Mina makes a web hammock for them.
Fires were also included for some reason but again we just spray it and put the fire out. As for the things like a malfunctioning helicopter? I just use desert trails to get to them and remove the passengers. Aircraft like a commercial airliner aren't really a heroes territory and there has only been 17 cases of that within a decade that were resolved by flyers like captain celebrity.
So while the others were feeding their hero complexes me and Mina slipped off to have some fun. It didn't go unnoticed as kyouka followed us which made momo and denki follow us as well. A ten minute hike up the mountain to the abounded bridge and one lock eroded later. Me and Mina were strapping in for some activities we always wanted to try.
"What are you two doing? We have a rescue class and aizawa will be pissed!" Said denki loudly giving away his position. I felt him as well as the murmurs of the other two. They thought we were going to do something naughty. I mean we were but that's after the jump, I want to try a Spider-Man kiss alright! My little raccoon also wants to try so I said why not.
"If you couldn't guess we about to go bungee jumping" I said blankly tightening my harness. "But that's highly dangerous" momo said with innocence. "We know" Mina said as she hopped over to the ledge. I've reinforced the cables with my sand incase they snap and I checked the gear with haki and my sand proving they are functional.
"Why are you doing it?" Asked kyouka, We looked at her and I gestured to Mina to answer "jiro-chan this training isn't useful to us as we can do it with ease so we are training in another area. Free falling, this place used to be a popular bungee jumping spot but was stopped when UA purchased it. So we figured why not try it, you want in?"
Denki said "hell yeah!!! After you guys though" I shrugged and did more safety tests. "Load me up" I said to Mina as she turned to me with a maniacal smile. "This is payback for those hickeys, THIS IS SPASRRTTTTAAAAA!!!!!!" She said before giving me a leonidas front kick sending me of the edge.
I felt the wind try to cut into me as I bolted towards the ground. The churning in my stomach forced a smile on me as my hair was blown back further than usual. I cheered "wooooohoooooo" as the cord strained and I was yanked back up at a high speed. I bobbled up and down a few times before I touched down.
"I'm alive!!!!" I shouted to let them know it works as I unclipped and sent the chord to Mina. "Great!!! Imma do a flip!" She bellowed before a pink blur came hurtling towards me like a sonic spin dash or is it amy spin dash? She screamed like anyone would and bobbed up and down just as I did though she was upside down. As she lowered to the ground I used my sand to hold a bit of the chord so she would be suspended above me upside down.
"You have a knack for getting in trouble" I said
"You have a knack for saving lives, I think I have a super hero lover?"
" I'm in the neighbourhood may as well" I shrugged
"You are amazing" I said to Mina
"Some people don't think so" she pouted
"But you are, do I get to say thank you?"
"It's always nice to meet a fan" she said swinging towards me and locking her hands around my head.
She jammed her tongue into and we began are passionate kiss just like in the move..... sorta. It was amazing, I'd thought I'd explored every inch of her by now but this just means I get to do a whole lot more. "How was it" I ask breaking away, she said nothing before lowering the bungee so she's face first with my crotch and smirking. "Naughty girl" I said while grabbing her ass making her mewl. I unclipped her and flipped her up into my arms while sending the cable back up.
Denki went for his turn and tried to dab before kyouka Sparta kicked him. We weren't really paying attention though as we kept are earlier session going. He arrived at our location so I ended our public display of affection there before I clipping him. "Your hair looks nice blown back, kinda like a thunder version of hawks". He looked giddy about that.
Kyouka did hers next but made her costume play shoot to thrill on her way down. Wish I'd thought of that. I'd love to dive to born to be wild by steppenwolf. I immediately jumped up to go again while the others screamed no fair as I already scrolled to find the song. I saw momo hesitating while I went again.
"What's the problem?" "I don't think I should do this sabaku-kun". I smirked at her, momo always has confidence issues however there is a cure. Make her competitive. "Pussy, bet your too chicken to do a trick like the rest. Maybe I should go ask todoroki to join instead". A fire lit in her eyes as she yanked the chord on and grew a set for herself. She turned to me and stuck her tongue out before spinning and jumping. On the way down she squealed like a pig as the chord curled in the air.
The others congratulated her as she was undone and the chord came back up. I hit play to the song and walked to the edge and spread my arms. I was gonna do this in style I thought as I heard an hawk caw from above. Oh yes I thought to myself as I performed a leap of faith.
The others were shocked as I came down a lot faster than the first time. As I finished the down fall and reached my bounce I unclipped and fell down regularly the second time. They began to freak out before remembering I'm made of sand as I superhero landed as the song hit the drum solo.
I looked up and asked "how was it? What did you think".
"Sexy" "awesome" "rock n roll" "it was very dramatic". "I think it's going to get you in deep shit" "nah why would it" "because you did it without my permission". I then realised the last person who spoke wasn't a teenager. I turned around and saw a grizzly unshaven face glaring at me with his hair standing on edge.
Oh shit.
