Chapter 5: Hunting the Hunter?! Daiko confronts Aikon!
Searching for the loud crash, Gohan and Piccolo find the crater made by the Saiyan Pod. Laying next to it, there are two bodies. Gohan and Piccolo descend on the ground to explore the scene. To their surprise, Goten and Trunks lay defeated.
"What happened?" Gohan asked anxiously.
Trunks tried to stand up but collapsed back onto the ground.
"The Saiyan is here, he defeated us and went with Uub." Trunks said, panting in pain.
"Where is Uub now?!" Gohan screamed.
"We don't know we can't sense his energy anymore." Goten replied.
Gohan knelt beside Goten, looking at him in disbelief.
"The Saiyan was powerful, more powerful than any of us." Goten explained softly.
"What does he want with Earth?" Piccolo asked.
"He's looking for Goku, apparently he has a score to settle." Trunks answered.
"What grudge could he possibly hold against our dad." Gohan said confused.
"We don't know but we're all in danger he is only coming after Saiyans." Goten says coughing.
"Don't push yourself Goten-."
"Gohan, he will kill us. He's probably already gotten to Uub, he's planning on eradicating all of us." Goten said, closing his eyes.
Goten fell unconscious. Gohan picked him up and gritted his teeth angrily.
"Let's take Goten and Trunks somewhere safe." He said with a sense of urgency.
Piccolo helped Trunks to his feet, and the two escorted Goten and Trunks to a safer location.
Gohan and Piccolo were both uneasy and frustrated. They couldn't comprehend why he wanted to fight Goku so much. They were both also pondering his clear hatred for Saiyans. The thought of his friends especially discomforted Gohan being eradicated by him. Piccolo began running scenarios and plans through his head. He was figuring out a way to defeat the Saiyan with no causalities.
Looking for meteor Daiko continues to search. He senses a faint power level beneath him.
"I recognize this Ki." Daiko thought.
He holds his breath and plummets into the ocean. Daiko looks around and sees a sinking Uub unconscious. He immediately darts down and grabs his hand. He pulls him back up out of the water and flies to a shore nearby.
"Uub speak to me!" Daiko yells out.
Uub coughs, then opens his eyes slowly.
"Daiko is that you?" Uub asked, still dreary.
"Yes, it's me, who did this to you Uub? What happened to you?" Daiko asked concerned.
"The Saiyan Hunter, he beat Goten and Trunks. He's after you and the other Saiyans of Earth." Uub spoke quickly.
"Slow down Uub, who is this guy?" Daiko asked concerned.
"He's a Saiyan that attacks other Saiyans, he's planning on ridding Earth of our Saiyans." Uub says anxiously.
"Why would he do that?" Daiko asked.
"I'm not sure he has a grudge against Saiyans for some reason." Uub explains.
"What could that reason be?" Daiko thought.
Daiko stood up and took his shirt off to ring out the water. He walked away until Uub grabbed his leg.
"Daiko, where are-."
"I'm after this guy, I want answers and I want to avenge my friends for what he did to you guys." Daiko said looking back at Uub intensely.
"No, Daiko, he's stronger than Goten and-."
"I don't care Uub, I will not sit by and allow for my friends to be harmed and killed." Daiko said angrily.
"You will get yourself killed, Don't you understand he's more powerful than any of us could ever hope to be!" Uub yelled at him.
Daiko looked away. "Uub, I'm scared to face this guy. I'm aware I might lose my life to him, but I have a reason to fight. I'd rather fight for that reason and die defending it than to give up." Daiko explained, then kicked Uub's hand off.
"Lay here until you regain your strength, I will go to fight this Saiyan Hunter guy." Daiko said flying off.
Daiko was determined. Years ago he would've been afraid of the challenge, but ever since meeting the Z fighters he's changed. He has found something to protect and fight for after losing the person he cherished most. He began flying in pursuit of the Saiyan Hunter; he began sensing his immense power.
Aikon stopped as he sensed Daiko's power from a significant way away.
"So another Saiyan challenges me, that makes the search a lot easier." Aikon said to himself.
Daiko raced to confront the Saiyan. When he appeared before him Aikon's radiant Ki immediately showed its presence. Daiko was shocked at the immense power he possessed.
"You've come after me." Aikon said, confused.
"You attacked my friends, I won't let you get away." Daiko clenched his fist.
"Your friends?" Aikon looked at Daiko, still confused.
"You don't even remember!" Daiko got frustrated.
"Let me ask you a question. Do you remember every insect you've stepped on?" Aikon asked seriously.
"Comparing my friends to insects-."
"I've taken a lot of lives, I'd rather forget who I've defeated." Aikon said, sighing.
"You'll remember who I am by the time I'm done with you." Daiko says angrily.
Aikon senses a strange Ki flowing inside of Daiko. He becomes curious of Daiko.
"I'll give you the opportunity to avenge your friends right now then." Aikon says calmly. "I'd like to fight you in an honorable duel."
"Fine by me!" Daiko screams.
"I'm glad you agree, now choose your last resting place." Aikon commands. "If you try anything suspicious, I will not hesitate to take your life immediately."
Daiko flies to the mountains. It seems to be an unbothered area where they can fight alone. Daiko guides Aikon to the mountains. He feels very uneasy fighting him. The power that Aikon possess is becoming nearly overwhelming. Daiko still holding himself together arrives at the mountains.
"We're here." Daiko says.
"I see a place where we can remain undisturbed. I will say, you seem like a promising fighter Saiyan." Aikon smiles.
The two stare at each other with a deep intensity. Daiko scared of an unwavering will to avenge his friends will fight his hardest. Aikon was prepared for battle, with a deep hatred for Saiyans and a curiosity for Daiko's power. The two both have something to fight for, but who will prevail?
