Chapter 22: Gran Torino's entry
The old man then looked at the two heroes who were behind him and asked, "You two should be careful and not act this recklessly against a villain, you know? But before that are all the civilians safely evacuated?"
Rumi and Crust looked at the short man with a surprised look on their faces. But soon Rumi frowned and said, "What the hell old man, you could have hit me earlier?!" and got closer to the short man and looked down on him with an annoyed expression in her face.
The short man looked up at the rabbit eared girl without any change in his expression and said, "Don't worry, I wouldn't have hit you that time, I am quite confident in my movement. Anyway leaving that aside, are the civilians evacuated?"
Rumi got a bit pissed by his answer but decided to stop for now and looked towards Crust.
Crust who felt her gaze upon him looked back at her, nodded his head and said, "Yes, most of the civilians have been evacuated by the other heroes, ummm...Mr."
"Gran Torino, I am a pro hero as well, or rather, was. Anyway, since the civilians ar evacuated, contact someone to-"
But before he was able to finish Rumi suddenly grabbed him and jumped away, and just a moment later an explosion occured at the place where they were standing.
"Che, that bastard is still moving huh. Oi, chibi geezer, stay back, if you don't wanna get hurt."
Gran Torino who was suddenly dragged by Rumi snorted and said, "You youngsters have no respect for elders these days." and then used his quirk to jump off her grasp and landed on the ground.
He then looked towards the man he had kicked earlier standing their with a bit of blood coming out of his forehead and mouth.
"I really felt the last one you know?"
Antonio who crashed into the building earlier came out and stood in front of the heroes with a slightly pissed off look on his face. He the spitted out a bit of blood from his mouth and looked at the person who kicked him earlier.
Seeing the short old man, his eyes widened a bit and said, "Oh, if it isn't the geezer who gets shorter by the age, Gran Torino? You really gave me a hell of a time, back when I was younger."
The mentioned hero got a bit surprised but soon narrowed his eyes and said, "Is that so? Then why don't you just cooperate with me easily for old time's sake."
Antonio snorted and said, "Fuck off geezer. Rather don't you think that you are too old to walk around the town in that spandex of yours? Old time's sake you say? Fine then, let me put you in your grace for old time's sake." and immediately some black tentacle like structures launched out of his arms and rushed towards the old man.
Seeing the tentacles coming towards them both Rumi and Torino jumped away and started doding the tentacles, while Crust immediately made a shield to protect himself while using another to attack Antonio.
Antonio seeing the attack snorted and said, "I have played enough with you. Drop dead." and a huge wave made up of pressurised water was fired from his other arm towards Crust's shield which got destroyed immediately by the water jet and sent him crashing to one of the buildings.
Rumi who now noticed the sudden increase in the power frowned and thought, 'That fucker was not even using his full strength?!?!' But then she noticed that the arm which he used to attack Crust was not partially turned into a red gooey substance.
'Is there a limit to how much power he can use at once?'
And as if to confirm her doubt Antonio looked towards his gooey hand and said, "Oh. my looks like I used a bit too much power, just now. Really, getting angry will always get in the way of work." and then retracted his tentacles back in his other hand.
He then put his normal hand in his pocket and then took out a can from which a glowing blue light was coming from.
He then used his finger to poke directly into the can and then used his quirk to absorb the contents present in the can.
Once the can stopped glowing, he threw it away and his hand turned back to normal, "Phew, now then let's continue where we left off...or so I would like to say, but currently I have to find my 'son' and bring him back with me. So let's meet up at some other time." and then fired a bunch of missiles on the ground making a smoke screen and the disappeared from his spot.
Torino immediately lifted Rumi in his hands and got up in the air so as to not get caught in the explosion and said, "Don't let him get out of your sight!!!" to which Rumi nodded her head and narrowed her eyes to look out for the villain who was running flying away at a high speed and just in the next instant she lost sight of him making her annoyed.
Gran Torino then landed on the ground along with Rumi and both of them immediately rushed to check whether Crust was fine or not.
They immediately started to remove the debris which was on top of Crust and soon found a familiar shield blocking their path.
"It's fine now. Rest up a bit."
And just as he said that Crust retracted the shield and a figure of blood coming out of his arms was revealed to the others.
Seeing his condition both Rumi and Torino frowned a bit and Torino immediately took a step forward to help him.
But before he could do something Crust raised his hand and asked, "I don't know if I heard that clearly, since I was buried here?"
Both Rumi and Torino gave him a confused look and remained silent.
Crust then looked up with a serious look on his face and said, "Didn't that villain just said that he was going to get his son or something..."
And just after he mentioned it a terrified look appeared on the faces of the other two heroes.
Seeing their state Crust frowned as well and forced himself to stand up while gritting his teeth and said, "I cannot just sit here idly, when knowing that a kid's life is in danger."
Both Rumi and Torino nodded their heads as well and the old man said, "He is correct. Rabbit girl, inform the hero agency of the area about the situation and tell them to contact as soon as they find where that man is. I will look around from the sky." He then turned towards Crust and said, "And you... Crust, I presume. Rest up during the time we have, we will require a string defense against those destructive quirks." And even though he was unwilling to do so, Crust still nodded his head and sat down on the ground.
Grand Torino immediately rushed in the sky ignoring the angry Mirko who was shouting at him for calling her rabbit girl.
'This person is just like All for One. Toshi is not in this area so we cannot rely on him for help.' He the. clicked his tongue and started looking around and said, "All I wished for was for the new Taiyaki shop that opened in this area.... What have I gotten myself into?!?!"
