An alarm buzzed. It irritated me so much. I lokked for it all over the house. Upstairs...downstairs...at last i found it. It was my dad's phone. I soon as I reached the phone I switched it off. But then there was another. I realized it was my mom's. Then there came another. I figured out it was mine. But yet again there rang another! Which one was it. It irritated me alot. My temper began to raise until...
I realised all the sweat i left was a mere dream.all along it was my alarm clock. All this long i was switching it off in my dreams. That's why it kept ringing. I smiled to my foolishness. I checked the time and it was 9 am. 'Perfect time' I thought. Carmen decide to go shopping at the mall. We decided to go together since me and Alex also had some shopping list to complete. so I had to get ready early. I headed for the washroom and got freshened up. Then I changed from my pyjamas to a black embroidered top with a pair of jeans. I let my black hair into a high pony and applied a layer of red lipstick and mascara.
Next thing I realized was that i got hunger pangs. I rushed downstairs to the kitchen to feed my appetite. when I tucked the fork on the fried egg my phone beeped. carmen texted me.

after I finished my breakfast it was 9:40. I still had enough time. so I decided to scroll through the news of Indonesia. There were many politician's news and yes I ignored all. But one of them caught my eyes.
'Remarkable harvest by FDC (food distribution campaign) !'
I was curious, so I pressed the headline which took me to a website. I read the description further and it says that the amount of grain harvested in this year is so much that is can feed the whole country During a famine for a year! It is no surprise that Indonesia is the largest rice producer but this was shocking.
wondered how did they manage? as I read furthermore I learnt they used Modern farming method in large-scale. then many thoughts came to my head, why did they use? when it shows negative effects on soil like depletion of nutrients, causing soil pollution and many more. are they predicting a famine? are they trying to quit farming for a year or so? several more thoughts tingled in my brain.
I was interrupted when I heard a bell ring. I realized it was 10 am already and Carmen came to pick me. I rushed to my room to collect my purse which had cash in it. Before I left, I hugged my parents and stole kisses from them.

After shopping and lunch, I headed to my mother's office to help her with her work. I do part-time jobs besides my studies. I am learning to become a detective. But I still play as an amateur detective in my locality. I have solved some of the cases for the local police department and got a little fame in the corner of local newspapers. most of the times I help in the police station to file some documents after my university as a part-time job. This month since the university is closed, I am working at my mom's office. Her name is Clair Argent and She works at the passport administration office.
After working for several hours, instead of going home I drove with my mom to a grocery store for supplies. after some buying, we returned home. my dad had already arrived from his job. we sat together to have dinner. I had already told them about my vacation planning with carmen and Alex last night. and they were happy about me visiting a new place. and I am excited. I can't wait for Friday to come.
"Julia, did you get the ticket from Simon?" my father Daylan Argent asked.
"yes, Carmen handed us while going to the Mall", saying so I went off to my purse to get the envelope of the ticket. I haven't touched it as I wanted to read with my parents. I share with them most of the things and since I am their only child.
I handed the ticket to my father and he read the departure, arrival, the place I was going to land...all those details given there. I tucked my head to it from his one shoulder side. followed by my mother from the other.
after reading, I learnt that my fight is scheduled on Friday 10 am from Kodiak, Alaska to Jakarta, Indonesia. and we would arrive back on Friday at 5 pm.
"Great, tell us all about it when you return." my mom winked.
"I will," I stated.
