"You still playing that game, Mark?"

A slightly high pitched voice had rung through a young man's ears as said person could be seen sitting down at what appeared to be a desk that was rather empty, only having a rather expensive looking computer set up along with a number of books neatly packed onto the shelves that the desk had along with in the drawers.

The young man appeared to be around the age of ten as he was playing on what appeared to be a Nintendo 3DS device, having a lean body and beautifully fair skin. He had neat straight black hair with vibrant blue bangs along with a pair of sapphire blue eyes that contrasted well with his hair, his eyes being a bit sharp at the edges.

His clothing consisted of a simply tight white t-shirt that stuck well to his body along with long tight black pants, wearing also black wristbands and also white running shoes. Finally, over his ears were what appeared to be a pair of black headphones with red LED lights that shone as music could be heard playing from them.

This boy was Marcus Orion, or mainly referred to as Mark. A young man who had lived a relatively normal life of a kid, going to school and hanging out with friends, as well as doing normal things a kid usually does such as playing video games. He grew up in a decently wealthy household, growing up and being taken care of by his uncle.

He didn't know who his parents were, nor what they even looked like, though that never really bothered him as he decided to live his life even without them there for him. He would be lying if he said that he wasn't at least a bit curious as to who his parents were, but it wasn't really a big worry for him. His uncle, Uncle Ryan, took care of him like he was his own son.

Marcus would say that he had a normal life, if he had decided to ignore the fact that he possessed a strange ability to speak and communicate with digital sources as if they were actual people. Such being the situation he was in right now as he turned his attention towards the computer screen to see a strange figure on his screen looking at him.

He wasn't sure why he had this unique ability of his, but he decided to cherish such a strange gift he had as it made him unique compared to others. While it did weird him out at the start, he became accustomed to it over time, though he is the only one that knows about it. People would think he was insane if he just told them he could talk to digital characters.

At first, he thought he was talking to rather smart computer AIs, but came to believe that these digital characters truly were there own person. Only being able to truly communicate with him due to his ability. So, it was more a gift to him now than anything else. Most certainly not a curse.

The figure that was speaking to him from the computer appeared a bit cartoonish in appearance and had a body that seemed a bit damaged, and you could see that it was coloured a brownish-green with shades of brown on its stomach along with a pair of three-jointed ears.

The hands that the figure had consisted of four fingers and also three toes on each of its legs. The figure itself appeared to resemble that of a rabbit, a plushie rabbit to be precise. It's head being significantly larger than the rest of its body along with a pair of beady eyes. It looked to be a bit mechanical in nature as well.

"Yep, not much else to do really." Mark responded to the plushie as he took off his headphones and placed them around his neck. He smiled and faced the screen as he placed the DS on the desk next to him. "Good talking to you again, Plushtrap. We haven't spoken in a good week or so now. How have you and the others been?"

"Doing good. Crying Child is still crying as always."

"You guys need to stop bullying him." Mark deadpanned as Plushtrap just shrugged his shoulders. He then heard a loud scream from the screen, sounding off in the distance. Mark deadpanned harder as he heard it. "Anyway, yeah. There's not really that much else to do. I could play your game, but it gets boring after a bit. No offence."

"None taken, I can totally agree." Plushtrap shrugged once again as he gave a small amused chuckle at the statement that Mark made. "What's that game called again? Pokemon? I know it's about catching those creatures and trying to be the very best like no-one ever was, but what exactly is the appeal of it? I don't really see how it's fun..."

"I guess I can see your point, but it's a lot more fun than you think. Plus, it's not like you have ever played the game yourself, so you can't really make a strong decision about it."

"Can't argue with you there. But, I can say that the idea of battling does intrigue me. All I can really do here in this game is scare the kid, not much else." Plushtrap sighed as he gained a look of boredom on his face. Mark chuckled slightly at this as he was amused by Plushtrap's attitude.

Plushtrap was a character that he had talked with and became great friends with over the time he had played the game he was from, that being a game in the FNAF series called Five Nights At Freddy's 4. Which was where he had met the other animatronics from the game, along with Crying Child, who was the protagonist of the game, and became friends with them too.

A few of them were hard to become friends with as they were more aggressive and stubborn in nature, but eventually did open up to him over time. Crying Child was the first person to open up to him, rather quickly too as they were the same age. Plushtrap being the next person to talk with him as more and more of the animatronics came to speak with Mark too.

It was no surprise that they were shocked when he was able to communicate with them, though they did not complain at all by him being able to. They would usually try to scare him like they do the Crying Child, but were never successful. Serious, what was this kid scared of? He had never flinched a single time! They even made bets to see who could scare him.

Mark was amused by the events at the time as it seemed that behind the curtains of the game, the animatronics were all still acting like humans as they did things that humans did normally as well, like play around and make bets. He had only just recently been talking to the animatronics from the Sister Location game, and was making good friends with them too.

He was intending on talking with all animatronics from all the games at some point, which were a lot.

"That makes me wonder, even with your ability, how come you can't talk to those in that Pokemon game of yours anyway?" Plushtrap wondered as he stared down towards the 3DS. Mark shrugged as he really didn't know, he had no trouble talking to people on the computer games and other platforms, only having issues with the DS.

No matter how many times he had tried, none of them had responded to him at all. It was possible that they couldn't hear him or just didn't have a method that allowed them to speak with him, it truly confused him. He would like to be able to speak with his pokemon, but something seemed to be preventing him from doing so. Maybe his ability just didn't work for the 3DS.

"Who knows? Maybe I'm limited somehow with my abilities." Mark shrugged with a sigh as he then looked down towards his 3DS as he rested his chin on his right arm. Maybe he could figure out why he can't speak to them sometime later. "But, I'm still more than happy being able to speak with you guys. Anyway, we shou-..."

"What's wrong?"

"It's just that... something's happening to my DS..." Mark blinked in surprised as he leaned back in confusion as he stared at the device. Plushtrap blinked in confusion before looking as well, widening his eyes soon as well as what appeared to be sparks were flying off of the screen. "What the heck is happening?!"

"Uh... did you break it somehow?!"

"Not in any way that I know of! Woah!" Mark gasped as the screen suddenly shone a brightly as both Mark and Plushtrap had to cover their eyes due to the intensity of the light that was being produced in front of them. "Plushtrap?! Are you there!"

"Yeah! What's happening?!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Mark, wake up! We have a Code Red!"

"Ugh~... my head feels like Nightmare screamed in my ear for five straight hours..."

Mark groaned as he felt his consciousness slowly making its way back to him as he could feel that his face was pressed up against the ground, though it felt a bit strange as he could feel strands of something brushing against his face. He slowly opened his eyes and was confused as he came into view with a lot of green.

"Huh?" Mark used both his arms to push himself off the ground as he shook his head to get rid of the headache he had as he looked around at his surroundings in major confusion. Where the hell was he? This was most definitely not his room anymore as he knew for a fact that he didn't decorate his room to look like the grassy plains of the outside world.

He remembered talking with Plushtrap in his room while sitting on his desk before noticing his 3DS producing sparks before a light that blinded him, and now he was outside? Where even was this? He was certain that he did not live anywhere near an open grassy area of the world, he lived in the damn city! Buildings and roads everywhere!

"Thank goodness you're awake!"

"Eh?" Mark turned his attention down towards the ground as he was currently sitting down using his arms as support, to which he noticed a small figure staring up at him as the figure was a bit shorter than he was as he was sitting down. The two figures stared at each other in complete silence as they heard the wind go past them.

"Ahh~!/Gahh~!" Both of them screamed at one another, Mark's scream having terrified the other figure as they had to release a scream as well. The small figure ended up falling over and rolling back before hitting their head against a nearby rock. Mark stood up quickly and pointed towards the small figure.

"Who are you?!"

"It's me, Mark! You dummy! Ow, that hurt!" The familiar voice shouted in response before wincing in pain as the figure revealed to be none other than Plushtrap, who was now rubbing his head in pain as a red bump was visible. Mark blinked before lowering his hand as he stared at Plushtrap in confusion.

"Wait, how are you standing here with me then?"

"I don't know. After that device of yours blinded us, I woke up here and found you unconscious next to me." Plushtrap explained as he managed to stand up before walking back over towards Mark and crossed his small arms. "Where even are we? While I was trying to wake you up, I saw a bunch of annoying orange fish popup from the lake over there making those annoying ass sounds."

"Orange fish? Goldfish?"

"Maybe. They were the biggest goldfish I've ever seen if that's the case." Plushtrap shrugged. He then pointed towards the said lake and Mark looked to see that it was indeed a small lake that was surrounded by a couple of trees. "They kept leaping out of the water and kept on going on and on saying 'karp karp karp!'. Kill me now, they were annoying!"

"Wait, karp? It can't be..."

"What?"

"I think... you saw a school of Magikarp." Plushtrap blinked in confusion as he rose an eyebrow up at Mark in confusion as the male was blinking in surprise at the small plushie. "Magikarp. They're a pokemon that is rather common in any kind of water in the Pokemon games. But, how in the world did you see one? They shouldn't exist..."

"For real?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both Plushtrap and Mark were now seen sitting down on two flat rocks next to the lake that Plushtrap had pointed towards not too long ago as they talked to one another about the situation that they were in. They both could only come to the conclusion that they somehow managed to arrive in the Pokemon world.

All the evidence was there!

First, Plushtrap had run into a bunch of Magikarp, who shouldn't even exist in the first place! Next were the number of other strange pokemon that they had seen looking at them as they were walking over here. They mainly seemed confused by Plushtrap, though that was understandable as you wouldn't find something like him in this kind of world.

It also seemed like Plushtrap was able to actually understand what the Pokemon were saying, though Mark didn't seem to be able to do the same thing as he just heard their normal cries. It was confusing as Plushtrap wasn't exactly a pokemon, he wasn't human, but was for sure not a pokemon either.

The final thing being the items that Mark had soon took notice of suddenly appearing onto his person. The said items consisting of a black and blue backpack that was next to them after having woken up, along with also what appeared to be a holster that was attached to his waist that looked like it could hold onto six spherical objects.

"Yep. Definitely in the pokemon world..."

"What's in the bag?" Plushtrap asked curiously. Mark was seen going through the bag that he had suddenly gained and found a number of things. He found a bunch of cash that had a symbol he recognised to be Pokedollars, the currency of the Pokemon world, and was labelled with numbers, so they were easy to figure out.

Other items being what he assumed were empty Pokeballs, which he was certainly surprised of at first. Other items being regular supplies that you would normally find for camping, that being an easily compactable tent and also cooking equipment. The final thing being a rectangular device which he easily identified as a Pokedex. A Kalos Pokedex to be precise, only appearing more advanced.

"Just a bunch of normal stuff for like camping. But, this on the other hand." Mark said as he showed the Pokedex to Plushtrap, who seemed confused by it as Mark then explained. "This is what the character of the Pokemon games always gets at the start of their journey. It tells them information about the pokemon and such."

"So, a pokemon encyclopedia?"

"Pretty much."

"Damn, to think we would find ourselves in this bizarre world of yours. Though, It does beat sitting on a chair most of the time." Plushtrap sighed as he laid down on the rock he was on. Though soon sat back up as a look of realisation hit him. He then reached behind himself before handing something to Mark. "Oh! I found this on me when I woke up, not sure what it is."

"Eh? A Pokeball?" Mark took in confusion. Why the heck did Plushtrap have a Pokeball on him? Mark stared at it curiously before widening his eyes as a curious glint occurred in his gaze, Plushtrap blinked as he saw Mark look towards him with an unreadable expression. "Sorry, Plushtrap. I need to test something."

"Huh? What do you me- what are you doing?!" Plushtrap comically widened his eyes and held his hands up as Mark suddenly released a blue light from the Pokeball Plushtrap had given to him as Plushtrap soon was absorbed into the Pokeball. Mark widened his eyes slightly as this happened, it actually worked?!

"Oh, wow! I guess Plushtrap must be considered a pokemon after having arrived in this world." Mark commented to himself as he stared at the ball. The ball wasn't shaking either, so that meant Plushtrap was already sealed to this Pokeball when it was on his person. "This makes this very interesting... Come back out, Plushtrap."

A familiar blue light erupted from the Pokeball before crashing onto the ground as Plushtrap's silhouette was seen forming from the light. The light stopped as Plushtrap was now seen on the ground with a comical look of shock as he was breathing heavily, Mark sweatdropped a the scene as the plushie soon turned to him and yelled at him with comical rage.

"What was that about?!"

"Sorry, I just needed to test something."

"What?! That you can stuff me into a ball?! No pun intended!" Plushtrap shouted as he continued jumping up and down while waving his arms around like a child. Mark sweatdropped at Plushtrap's behaviour as he sighed before placing his hand on Plushtrap's head, causing the plushie to stop and look up at him with narrowed eyes.

"I just had an idea about why you had the Pokeball, and it seems that I was right in the end. Plushtrap, you've become a pokemon."

"..."

"..."

"You what, mate?"

"It's just as I said. You've become a pokemon." Mark stated bluntly. Plushtrap stared at him with blinking eyes without saying a single word, though he soon had his bottom jaw drop to the ground in complete and utter shock. "I know it may sound crazy, but I'm being serious. Though, don't be too worried. You seem chained to this ball already, so no-one else can attempt to shove you into their balls."

"That's not the point!"

"Calm down!" Mark said as he raised both hands in front of himself as the small plushie was complaining. Mark sighed before taking out the Pokedex and holding it out and pointing it towards Plushtrap, who stopped and stared at Mark in confusion as he then asked.

"What are you doing now?"

"I'm just using it to check your information." Mark responded simply as he turned the Pokedex on, to which it opened up as a screen appeared. "Since you aren't originally a pokemon to begin with, I'm curious as to see what the Pokedex has to say about you."

"Oh, let me see!"

Plushtrap seemed to forgot about his anger and rushed over towards Mark and climbed up onto his shoulder and looked down at the Pokedex after it had finished scanning him. They watched as an image of Plushtrap appeared on the screen, a long with a bunch of information written on the screen about him.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Wow, I'm impressed, Plushtrap."

"Is it good?"

"Yeah, especially for a pokemon that is only level fifteen. I must say, you are pretty overpowered in my eyes." Mark praised as he also saw the three types that Plushtrap was, that was not something other pokemon had normally. If you ignore Arceus that is. "Also, if what I'm reading is right. You are considered a mythical pokemon."

"What does that mean?"

"It basically means that you are extremely rare. I have no doubt either that you are most likely the only one of your kind." Mark explained. Plushtrap scoffed in amusement as he heard this, he wasn't one to brag, but he definitely felt pride swell up in him as he read the information that was displayed to them.

"So, what are we going to do now?"

"Well, if what the map on this Pokedex says is right. We should be close to Santalune City. In fact, we're currently on Route 3." Mark says as he was looking at the map that was now being displayed on the Pokedex's screen. Plushtrap nodded his head in understanding while still riding Mark's right shoulder. "We should head on over there. That's where this all starts."

"Huh? What do you mean? What are we doing?"

"Isn't it obvious?"

Mark smirked as he stood up and put his Pokedex into his bag after Plushtrap jumped off of his shoulder and onto the ground, Mark looked down towards the pokemon and swung his bag over his right shoulder as he cracked his neck. There was one thing to do if you were to end up in the pokemon world, something every person wishes for.

"We're starting our new journey."
