Chapter 98: Meeting for a hunt
Marcus was sitting at the table looking at the group that got together in the last few days. There were five more hard trained mercenaries sitting in front of him.
"So you say the job is that we have to kill a woman?"
"It's not that simple. She is a mage and not a weak one for sure. I don't think you can win easily against her."
He put down two drawings on the table. One of them was Joseph and the other was Catherine.
"I don't even think you can win. You just have to hold her back until I finish off the other guy."
They looked at each other.
"Whatever you pay for. It is not going to be a problem until you have enough money for us."
"Don't worry. Money is not a problem."
He put a small bag on the table. It was filled with gold.
"I give you this in advance. After the job, you'll get ten times this amount."
They were smiling at him with shining eyes.
"We got a deal."
They set off to prepare.
