Chapter 80: Cellar
They walked through the hall where they came from earlier today, as Roland spoke to them.
"As you two know I'm collecting artifacts from different places, to examine them and learn about the ancient civilization that was was lead by the five mages."
They turned left on the second door in the hall and went into another hall, that looked similar to the previous one.
"Last month one of my acquaintances found an interesting piece of armor, that we couldn't figure out how it works."
They left the hallway on the other side and the door opened into a room with only a staircase in it. It was a spiral staircase leading up and down as well. They started to decend on it.
"We were trying to open it up in different ways, but nothing worked. It had no obvious openings, or anything. So we tried to pry it open, but we couldn't do that as well."
The stair ended into a small room with a door on the other side and a lantern on the side of it. They went through the door. It lead into a cellar with wine barrels in it. They walked to the other side.
"I've hired up a few people I trust to try to figure out what is up with this armor. But they couldn't figure out. But recently, as you know Leonard came back from an excavation and brang back something strange."
As they reached the other side of the room, they stopped next to the wall and Roland pushed a part of the wall in. A part of the wall moved back and then to the side.
"He brought back a magical stone, that had the same symbol on it, as the armor. Also he brought back one book that had drawings of the same armor in it, but we ned translations, so he stayed in the library with it."
They walked into a stair leading straight down into a big room.
"I've stored the stone not that far from the armor and thought that we will find some clues."
As they reached the bottom of the stair they saw the whole room. It was at least 10 meters high and at least 3-4 times as wide and long. It was lit up by a big crystal on top of the ceiling and contained all kind of equipments and relics. There were stuffs that Joseph did not expect.
Like a gun and pistols, but they looked somewhat different from the ones he knew. They had magic stone on their sides. Also armors, weapons and accessories everywhere and lastly a giant "armor", that Joseph knew as he saw it what it was. It was a robot that looked like a big plate armor with a symbol of the sun on it's chest. It was moving around, like it was set to patrol the area
"And now as we have the party upstairs Jordan walked up to me and said the armor started moving and attacked the staff down here."
Joseph shook his head.
"This is a bit of a problem Mr. Ronald."
