Chapter 29: Rift
Walking through the plain he didn't notice any setlement just gras and trees. Occasionally animals, like bunnies, foxes, gazelles and other grass land animals. He didn't want to hunt them yet. It would be problematic to process them anyway. So he just moved forward for two days. His food was enough for a few more days.
The cat meanwhile followed him around. It caughed bunnies and other small animals and eat them. At night it slept next to Joseph. He felt a kind of kinship with the little cat.
'This little fella is strong. I think it could kill a dog.'
After a few hours they woke up he saw something strange. In the aire there was a lightning shaped hole in the air, in the middle of nowhere. It was dark blue and had only two dimensional directions. It was like someone draw it in the air, but when he went behind it, it looked almost the same, but it had a black color instead of blue.
"What is this think? Is it a drawing on a glass? Kitty do you know it?"
The cat walked to it and sniffed it then looked back and meowed calmly.
"Wait! You actually understand what I say?"
The cat just started to clean herself.
"Oh... It's a female... and ofcourse not."
He walked closer and tried to measure if it had any magical energy. When he tried to sense it he felt like a car hit him and he felt on his back.
'This thing emit so much magical energy that my senses got confused for a moment. What the hell is this.'
He looked at the cat. The cat also had manna in it and not just a little. She had more than Joseph.
'That is strange. But well... It's not a problem, until she is on my side. She couldn't really cast spells anyway. Could she?'
He looked at the hole again and walked closer.
'What if I touch it?'
As he leaned closer and touched it he heard Silvia.
"Interesting."
The cat jumped up with the the fur stood on her back as Joseph felt dizzy. The whole world got dark for a second and then he could see again.
He was in a cave. It was more than two meters high and it looked like an old mineshaft. It had brightly lightning crystals on the top of it, so he saw clearly.
'Where am I?'
As he looked back, he saw the end of the mine and the same hole, this time on the wall.
'Seems like I can leave whenever I want.'
The cat appeared in front of the hole, looked at Joseph and meowed.
"Seems like it was a portal or what. Silvia are you here?"
He saw two windows pop up.
Alert!
You entered a dimension rift and got teleported into a pocket dimension made from manna. Everything here is made out of manna, even the creatures. They have no personalities or feelings.
Quest acquired
Find a way through the pocket dimension and absorb the thing that created it. Rewards: 100 xp, +1 skill points

'It was made by Silvia, that's for sure. But it seems like she doesn't want to speak. Well... Let's get through.'
He started to walk forward.
