Chapter 22: Silvia
Joseph stayed there lying on the ground for hours, but it seemed like weeks to him.
"So you still want to lay on the ground forever?"
He did not respond.
"Now that these spirits are dead we can easily leave. I can teleport you just like those guys did with the city!"
"To a place where more people will die who I speak with? Thanks, but no thanks."
"Hee? You are no fun!"
Joseph saw everything get dark.
"Listen here. The only reason everyone died is that you are weak. If you get stronger you can protect them!"
"Against that thing which cannot be damaged?"
"That dragon won't do anything if you don't break the balance!"
"Am I not something out of the natural order already?"
"If you would be it would've killed you already! Come on get up and move on. You have to live!"
Joseph sighed and stood up.
"Who are you anyway?"
He saw a woman walk up to him in the darkness. She was such a beauty he never saw. She looked like the most perfect woman for him. Slightly smaller than him, not too slim, but not too fat either, perfect sizes for his taste. But for some reason he did not feel her real.
"Is this really your body?"
"Body? I have no trivial thing as such. This is just what you would want to see me as."
"Hmm.... Then again, who are you?"
"Your people usually call me god. On the higher planes they call me awakened being. I call myself Silvia. I came to be as a god, but I found out ways to proceed to a higher state of existence. But after a while I've found the end of the ascending and lost my purpose. So I was searching for new ways to have fun. I read everything, watched and listened to everything in all the universes. Experienced a lot of things over and over. But I got bored again. So I thought about bringing someone over from a different universe, lower my powers and existence to such a being, which would feel amusement from watching different things. Though this way I lost a lot of power, but this version of me is just part of the actually being, so ti doesn't matter that much."
Joseph made a stupid face.
"So you are part of a higher being? And why did you share it with me?"
"Does it really matter if you know it?"
"True."
Now he really did not know what to do. He started to walk around.
"Oh right. Are you the one who gave me these skills and stuff?"
"Yes those are my gifts for you. They are just as you imagined them."
"Than could you change a few stuffs around? It is hard to use this way."
She shrugged.
"I won't change it now. But you will be able later on when you "level up"."
"I see. So... Do I get full controll over this ability?"
"Not fully. No. But some controll."
She looked in front of her. Joseph's stat window appeared in front of her like it usually does with him.
"I find this quiet amuzing. These "levelling systems" are really common and they usually have the same concept. I never get why is it so good. But it is actually representing the ascending process I took. It's just that it is a lower kind of system."
Joseph scratched his head.
"We just find it amusing to see the numbers increase and also feel the difference between the low and high numbers. You should try it sometimes as well. Maybe create a weak copy of yourself and get it stronger by a system like this? Or can you even do that?"
She laughed.
"Who do you think I'm? I can easily do that! And already done it just as we speak. It will be fun! But that's an other me doing it. I'll be still here with you, or at least I'll be watching. Now I'll take my leave. We'll speak again!"
"Okey? But where do you take me?"
"You'll see!"
She chuckled.
"Bye-bye!"
He came to his senses in a swamp. He didn't feel bad anymore.
"Is that hers doing?"
He heard a faint voice of a woman.
"It's my gift. Have fun!"
'Fun eh? It wasn't fun...'
