Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Provoking a Fight
The following day.
Since there were no damage due to the incident before as Akio had stopped the behemoth before it could even do anything, classes resumed just like usual.
Akio had headed to class after preparations and attended as though nothing happened.
On the other hand, Akio noticed that Jill wasn't present today and figured that it was because she was still recovering.
Just as class was about to start.
*Ding Dong Ding Dong*
[Asahiro Akio from class 1-C, please go to the student council president's office]
The announcement calling for Akio resounded causing the whole class to look towards his direction.
Akio got off from his seat and took out a device which projected the map for the island then headed towards the student council building.

Arriving at the building, a female student greeted Akio.
"Asahiro-san, right? Please follow me" she said and led Akio.
Akio followed the girl.
After about a minute, they arrived at the office located at the top floor of the building.
The girl knocked at the door and spoke.
"President, the guess is here" she notified.
"Let him come in" a voice from within the room replied.
"Please come in" the girl instructed Akio.
The girl opened the door and Akio entered, after he had entered, the girl closed the door.
The inside of the room was decorated but not too extravagant, there were paintings on the wall, some vases were situated by the side, there were also plants and flowers making the room pleasing to the eye.
In the middle of the room was a desk and in front of it were 2 sofas that was place in front of each other with a table between them.
Hitsuki Amane was seated behind the desk, on each of her side stood a male and a female student.
The male student had a serious expression, he was wearing a band on his arm that says "Disciplinary Committee", whereas the female student seemed as though her eyes were gleaming with excitement as she looked at Akio with great interest.
"Welcome, please take a seat" she said.
She gestured for Akio to take a seat which he complied and sat at a sofa.
"What would you like to drink?" she asked.
"Coffee" he replied.
She then used a communication device and instructed someone to get a coffee and teas.
"You two, take a seat" she instructed the two beside her.
""Yes"" the two replied.
Both of them sat at the sofa opposite to where Akio was seated.
Akio observed the both of them.
Through the male student's poise and tone, not to mention the band on his arm, he observed that he was an uptight student, the female student on the other hand seemed like the type to be open and persistent when she found something to be interesting, just like a researcher.
After some time, a girl wearing a maid uniform entered and served a coffee for Akio and tea for the other three, she then bowed before leaving, during the time she was there, Akio kept his eyes on her and decided to make contact later.
Akio took a sip and was satisfied with the taste, he preferred coffee more than tea.
"So, why was I called here?" Akio asked directly as he place his cup on the table.
As he spoke towards Amane without reserve, the male student flared up.
"Bastard! Who do you think you're talking to!?" he said.
"Masato" Amane said as she gestured him to stop.
The male student that Amane called Masato calmed down.
Uruki Masato, he is the disciplinary committee chairman and is a 2nd year, he admires the student council president, he had black hair and eyes.
Amane looked at Akio and got down to business.
"Asahiro Akio, I want you to join the academy's elite force" she said.
Akio had expected for it to be something like this as he was called by Amane, he touched his chin and seemed as though in deep thought.
After thinking for a while, he thought of something fun.
"Sure, but I have three conditions" he said as he raised three fingers.
"What!? You should be grateful that you're allowed to join the elite squad!" Masato shouted.
Amane stopped Masato again and looked at Akio then spoke.
"As long as it's within my capabilities" she said.
Akio heard her approval and stated his conditions.
First, he wanted to freedom on his actions during missions, this condition was accepted.
Second, he asked to be a solo person squad, although reluctantly, it was still accepted.
And third........
Akio looked at Masato then turned his head back towards Amane then smiled as he spoke.
"I want a date with you" he said.
Hearing the third condition, the three froze.
After a few seconds, they snapped out of it and the first to respond was Masato.
He immediately took out his token and activated it, a completely gray colored gear covered his body.
Suddenly activating his gear, the sofa he was sitting on got pushed away, however, the girl beside him responded by jumping and somersaulted so she was unscathed.
Masato threw a punch towards Akio which was extremely dangerous as no normal person could take an attack from a gear, not to mention that Masato's gear was a 5th generation with its overall function being rank B.
The girl saw this and took out her token in order to defend Akio but it was already too late.
"Stop!" Amane shouted as she saw Masato attacking Akio.
Masato didn't stop and continued with his attack, it was about to reach Akio however the next scene shocked the 3 of them even more.
Just as the attack was about to reach him, Akio strengthened his whole body with mana, he then bent his body and used his arm to redirect the attack to the side, in the next moment he applied more mana to his legs and leaped closer, he then grabbed the gear's gauntlet and threw a punch to its chestplate, as his fist was about to reach it, he applied more mana to his fist further strengthening it.
*Bang!*
Akio's attack made contact with the gear's chestplate and made a loud sound, air burst forth towards the surrounding and a large dent could be seen on the gear's chestplate, had he not held it, it would've flew causing it to crash to the wall, Akio didn't want to pay for the damages to the office.
Amane and the girl was shaken by Akio's performance and stood in place with their mouth agape.
Masato had felt the brunt of the impact and fainted so he crumbled to the ground while the gear deactivated.
Akio had let go of the gear's gauntlet that he was holding and watched as the fainted Masato fell to the ground, he then looked at Amane who was still shock, failing to comprehend of what had just transpired.
"So, what's your decision?" he asked.
Although, he just stated the 3rd condition to provoke Masato, Akio would never go back on his words.
Amane heard his question and snapped out from her shock.
"E-Eh? Sure…..I mean, I accept your condition!" she replied as she broke out in cold sweat.
Amane held the communicator and requested for someone to take Masato to the infirmary.
The girl who had been standing still since earlier had snapped back to reality and dashed towards Akio.
She grabbed Akio's hand and stared at his eyes, her eyes seemed to be sparkling.
"A-Asahiro-kun! I'm the head captain of the elite force, Tsukishiro Miyuki! Glad to work with you!" she introduced.
Tsukishiro Miyuki was a 3rd year student, she had blond hair and azure eye, her hair was tied to a twin tail.
She had seen Akio's performance before, she also saw that there was no damage to the behemoth aside from a hole on its core, due to that she had taken an interest on Akio, and with his performance earlier, she was excited to have him join the elite force.
"Understood, captain" Akio said.
"Just call me Miyuki!" she firmly stated.
"Yes, Miyuki-senpai" he replied.
Satisfied with his response, Miyuki let go of Akio's hand.
Akio fixed himself and prepared to leave.
As he was about to open the door, he stopped and looked back.
"Hitsuki-senpai" he called out.
"Y-Yes?" Amane replied as she flinched due to suddenly being called.
"The date, it's this weekend" he said.
"Okay...." she mumbled.
Akio opened the door and left.
